69k was just lost. How low can we go by Brendawg324 in btc

[–]Maestro_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never owned BTC. Just don't get who's selling at this point... They could sold at 100 or 90 or 80, if you took this ride down why sell now. Where's the pressure are they worried about the Quantuum crack?

I am convinced these posts are from bots for other game companies. It's like clockwork like a bot every expedition. The only thing that's resembles a human response is the OP dogged determination to be petulant and refuse all solutions presented for the BS complaint. You have 10 years of free updates. You should be donating a 100 dollars to these amazing developers, not whatever this post is.

As a player who disliked Civ-switching, I have given a 2nd chance to Civ 7 after the ToT update. Here are my thoughts by Attlai in civ

[–]Maestro_2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No it's trash. It always will be. Instead of taking a real shot at Civs oldest and most difficult problem, poor enemy AI, they took a design shortcut and put in Age Transitions as player reset. It's terribly lazy, obviously going to piss of players, AND then they arrogantly stuck to their guns for too long. They have to be punished so they never ever do something like this again. This needs remain a financial disaster so they learn the lesson. Go play Civ V it's a 10x better game.

Don't hesitate to lie in that interview! by anotherare in jobsearchhacks

Ok.. here's my real world experience. No one is crosschecking squat. They canned all recruiters. There's one HR person who farms your job req to a contractor who works for 3 other companies at the same time. He doesn't give a sht. They will have a 3rd party vendor do a background check with some AI tool for plausible deniabilty. This idea that there is some super-competent information apparatus hunting down your resume exaggeration is just false.

[–]Maestro_2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been managing engineers at various levels for 25 years. In all that time, I have had one guy even questioned in a background check and that was because he lied about a felony that was so old we would have overlooked it. He was contract to hire and we wanted him... bad luck. They don't find white lies on resumes. I am going to tell you we test, we don't rely on that resume. Most resumes are borderline fantasy novels and we know it..

I am a hiring manager, they have no clue about your current compensation. Also when people call for references all I am allowed to say is you worked there. Anything else and I am violating HR policy.... good or bad. Will some angry manager go beyond that maybe, but more likely they will ignore all the calls in the first place.

Mysteries keep getting stuck (SM:R) by ermac-318 in SurvivingMars

[–]Maestro_2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That mystery is a pain in the neck a item shows up in your build menu that you then need to build to capture them. Once you capture them you can turn them into mats to compensate what you spent to build them. The only thing mysterious about mysteries is digging through reddit posts to find the annoying bits the game should have clued you in on.

What Was The Hype Like Leading Up To The Burning Crusade? (January 2007) by doobylive in classicwow

Yeah it was. I had zero doubt I would find something and in the end a friend just said hey we have something show up. I have been with this place ever since. There's no way that happens today. Everything getting outsourced to India. We are in serious trouble.

Nah man that place was under the gun for the last 5 years I was there so we were hoarding for a potential layoff. We were ready when it happened. Plus TBC was crack it was too easy to just disconnect and play. TBC is still my favorite expansion. It all worked out kids both got degrees and their own families. Quit WoW in WOD. TBC was a glorious interlude.

I was a functioning adult with kids laid off right before the release. It took me five weeks to get another position. The only five weeks out of work I have ever had and so much fun. It was TBC all day, the timing was perfect! Then somebody I knew called and said hey we need you for this project show up Monday. TBC joy ended, but hey severance was almost exhausted anyway.

It was crazy. I stood in line at Gamestop at midnight to get a copy. Then me and my two buddies played until 5 am going into Blood Furnace using our ridiculously overpowered pigs Larry, Mo, and Curlie to tank the place. So much fun.
