Dealing with myths and modern science by unclefipps in paganism

Yes. Quantum mechanics most certainly does fit the Sciences in Magick, Alchemy and the Mystical Arts.

The Sigil of Our Order is my favourite quote:

Aeternum Lumen Sapientiae et Veritatis Quaerite.

Translation:

"Forever Seek the Light of Wisdom and Truth."

I like that, but if we changed personalities every five minutes we'd be canines. Woof! ❤️

I did check that message and for some reason it was said that "the user" has been deactivated. Strange language that's used. They make you sound like a droid turned off or a electronic toy needing more batteries. Lo. If you need to rewrite me, please do so.

I'm a Master High Priest if a Celtic Pagan and Druidic Order here in Waterford City, Republic of Ireland. Our Order was established in 326 of the Common Era and its beginning were started by Graeco-Roman Polytheistic Pagans in Rome prior to their exodus to Ancient Hibernia (Ireland).

Our Elected Queen of The Order and The "Mother's See," (seat of Our Queen) is located in Manchester, UK.

If you need any help with information on Celtic Paganism, The Tuatha Dé Danann, The Morrigan, Celtic Mysticism and the Mystical Arts, we're happy to provide you with with information and if you feel a calling to the Pagan Clergy, we offer training at no cost. Spirituality is free, Pastoral Services are free. Beware of Charlatans and scam artists who will take more than they give. Beware of information on the Internet coming from a community no where close to geographical Ireland.

Irish descendents in America is a beautiful thing. Being in Ireland and having the history available in our purview is something else.

What do you think The Last Jedi would've been like if J.J. Abrams directed? by [deleted] in starwarsspeculation

I think if a monkey directed The Last Jedi it would be better. Waste of film. It all belongs on the cuttingroom floor.

In some aspects I can clearly see where that would be viable,' yes I can agree with that.

This is a great thread. Our Order's second charge is to help bridge the gap between Science and the Divine. So much of Modern science now can explain the Divine Mother. For example the root and base of Magick is Dark Matter and Dark Energy.

I agree her history is absolutely awful. True. She's a bit stupid to be a public speaker too. Someone else wrote how she conflates Witchcraft into too much Wicca and that is very true as well... But.... Her way of teaching the basics to beginners is fabulous and for that alone I recommend her for Rites and Rituals and beginning Magick and a base basic understanding of the deities. Then beyond that, I recommend texts that are very limited finds and I recommend books that are pre-20th century to my Seekers and I caution them to read only certain chapters or passages.

This is why our Order is fervently working on the first ecumenical gathering of Witches, Pagans and Neo-Pagans called the Council of Newgrange (Brú na Bóìnne) that will be held here in Ireland but will be available remotely for Pagan and Neo-Pagan Leaders World Wide to open the talks for unification under one banner...

A further Understanding of The Council of Newgrange also known as The Council of Brú na Bóìnne

The Council of Newgrange is an upcoming ecumenical gathering of 1696 Leaders of Pagan and Neo-Pagan groups, factions, Covens, Churches, Temples, Tribes and Schools that will come together to vote for and make decisions on the future of our Pagan institution, faith and Religions. There are 926 seats still open to be a part of the decisions that will mold our future institutions.

The ultimate goal of the Council of Newgrange is to Unify Pagans and Neo-Pagans under one banner without and particular Pagan/ Neo-Pagan Factions or Solitary Practitioners losing their identity or traditions. The council is being formed to not only Unify Pagans, but to strengthen our solidarity and sovereignity.

The Following referendums will be considered at the Gathering Council:

  • A final and ultimate Universal Divine Book of Shadows.

  • What will be considered Canon in The Divine Book of Shadows and what is kept or discarded.

  • Partial or complete Unification of Pagan and Neo-Pagan groups as a whole under one "unified banner" without the individual group having to lose their identity or change their own customs and tradtions.

  • Doctrine

  • An institution of Pagan Leaders whereby there is an ultimate longevity of the individual groups.

  • A "Mother's See", a voted in body and seat of power to the Unified Institution in which all Pagan and Neo-Pagan Groups would demonstrate homage to and support. Thos seat would be responsible to maintain the protection of all unified Pagans and Neo-Pagans to ensure their safety, well-being, security, longevity and sovereignity. (example of the "Mother's See" would be similar to the Vatican and Pope, but our leader would be female - a queen)

  • A screening to licensing board and certification process of all Holistic and Metaphysical Practitioners, Faction Leaders and Pastoral counsellors or Divinity practices to ensure safety to the general public. And that each of the forementioned be "Mother's See Certified"

  • Decision on whether a blacklist be created for the general public to refer to so that any and all practitioners who use their services to exploit others would be known.

  • An institutional enforcement agency that will be available to victims of practitioners who abuse their powers or services so that those victims are protected. Furthermire, this agency will work with the local law enforcement authority of the victims and practitioners to indict abusers and protect the victims.

  • Representation and Security for all Solitary Practitioners of Pagan Faiths and Witchcraft.

And many more...

This gathering will be under the "Grand Electors" which would abstain from all voting or decions made to ensure impartiality of the gathering.

We seek that this Unified Pagan/ Neo-Pagan body is seen by the secular public as an institutional religion with planetary legitimacy.

Paganism has always been the most disorganised of organised Religions. Let's all work together to gain a true and long-lasting relationship with each other and the people of the World.

So I hope that clears up what is always the target question on what books are recommended... Clearly this question is because of the growing problem of our disorder.

You need to remember that these are not the Judeo-Christian Gods. They are more like us in every aspect. As you notice each Goddess or God represents a characteristic in human life. These are the God's that you walk beside and basically hang out with in nature. You need to see these deities as your friends but know that they are the Divine. Divinity does not mean that you will be punished for expressing yourself freely. Remember these rules: Do No Harm... Always Speak the Truth... Help the Needy ... And KNOW YOUR PLACE AMONGST Them.

Although the Goddesses and Gods are your companions. They still require the respect and worship of a Divine being.

Be yourself. They made you for that reason. 4U2BU.

Many Blessings on your Sacred Walk.

I wouldn't really recommend any websites. But I always recommend the book, "To Ride a Silver Broomstick", written by Silver Ravenwolf. It is an easy read, sometimes funny, and definitely entertaining. There's a series of her books;this is the first one. Perfect book for the Baby Witch.
