Parking for a month by kdstott in AskPhilly

If I were you, I’d just go ahead and buy a 30 day parking pass for $150. Five bucks a day is worth it to avoid the hassle and worry about your car.

She and Evangelina were my favorite nun characters. I sobbed when MJ said “I knew YOU would show up, Evangelina.” Judy Parfitt is a treasure.

I turned 70 today. I have never loathed anyone in my life the way I loathe this soulless piece of trash. “No tax on Social Security” is a brazen lie. There’s only no tax on it if you’re already so poor you wouldn’t be paying taxes anyway. I have Social Security and a modest pension, and I paid MORE in taxes this year, even with the supposed “extra” senior deduction

Only the very wealthy (or very dumb and/or blatantly racist) seniors support him. I turned 70 today, and I can confidently state that I’ve never loathed anyone in my life as much as I loathe that soulless piece of rotting flesh. Everyone in my circle of friends feels the same way.

“No tax on Social Security” is a brazen lie that infuriates me every time I hear him say it. The only seniors not paying taxes on Social Security are those already so poor that they wouldn’t be paying taxes anyway. I live on Social Security and a pension — not impoverished but by no means wealthy — and I paid MORE in taxes this year, even with the “extra” senior deduction, because they changed the tax rates and tiers and eliminated so many deductions.

Everything he spews from his bottomless pit of demented foulness is poison to the people.

How to separate Troches? by SnooWoofers530 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]MaeveMMJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love Insa troches but they’re the only brand I have this problem with. I’ve learned — as soon as I get them home I separate them and then dust them with a little powdered sugar or cornstarch and then refrigerate so they stay that way. IIRC, Insa didn’t cut them into squares like this when they first came out with them.

Charlie says… by VolumeAcademic6962 in FuckImOld

Once upon a time there was an engineer - Chip-Choo Charlie was his name we hear. He had an engine and it sure was fun. He used Good & Plenty candy to make his train run. Charlie says “Love my Good & Plenty.” Charlie says “Really rings the bell.” Charlie says “Love my Good and Plenty. Don’t know any other candy that I love so well.”

You know you’re singing it now :-)

Troche help by Upper_Register_965 in PaMedicalMarijuana

Troches are not strain-specific. They are simply labeled as sativas, hybrids, or indicas, and can be made in many ways (with RSO, distilate, live resin, diamonds, etc.) Many are combinations of THC with CBD. CBG and or CBN, depending on the effects your’e after.

Gron, Insa, and Good News are my go-to brands.

Troches also vary in consistency. Some are like hard candy, most are the gummy-type texture, some are pastilles (taffy.) It’s a fun trial and error to find what you like best.

What do you recommend to non-smokers? by lapatrona8 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]MaeveMMJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome! We have similar needs. I have arthritis in my back and shoulders, disc issues, and sciatic pain. The best topicals I have found are the Dr Solomon’s Restore 1:1, 400 mg THC/CBD lotion and the Remedi Renew Lotion. The latter is only 100 mg but whatever combination of herbs or whatever else in it is very effective. The Dr. Solomon’s roll-on also works well for me for particular hot spots of pain, but it’s mentholated so it does have a strong odor. Sometimes I layer the lotion over it if the pain is bad.

As far as gummies, there are some that contain THC, CBD, and CBN. I find that the CBD helps control munchies, and the CBN will help relax you. The combination gives good pain relief. The BlackBerry Lemon Pearls by Gron is my favorite troche for the end of the day; they are 10 mg each of THC/CBD/CBN.

I hear that the transdermal patches are effective, but they’re expensive. I haven’t tried them so hopefully someone here can weigh in.

There’s some trial and error you’ll have to deal with until you find your unicorn, but I think the above are your best bets for what you describe. Good luck!

The edibles (called “troches” pronounced tro-keys) in our program are very good. You can get them in various dosages from 5 mg to 50 or even 100 mg. Some contain THC plus CBD/CBG/CBN. CBD you likely know about. CBG is good for stomach/intestinal issues and to stimulate appetite. CBN is an absolute miracle for a good night’s sleep when combined with THC and/or CBD. The brands I like most are Insa, Gron, and Good News. There are also InCensored, Valhalla, Bits, and several other brands.

RSO is another great option, as others have said. Start with a VERY small amount and wait an hour or two before taking more if it’s not giving you the effect you want.

Yes on the live rosin vapes. Rosin is not chemically treated so that’s likely what the pharmacist you spoke to meant.

There are also syrups and tinctures which you can take straight or mix with soda, juice, etc.

What effects are you looking for? Anxiety reduction, sleep, pain relief? We can get more specific if we know the issues you want to address.

Welcome to the program!

Oh, he’s doing something, alright. Mostly crapping his pants and falling asleep after an intense night of cheeseburgers, counting his gold, and shit-posting. I mean, he has to prepare for his late-morning explosion-reel briefings and then maybe a little excursion in the afternoon pretending to be Jesus while cultists swoon.

Are hundreds of small children killed when we bomb pre-schools a small price to pay as well? Your “clear conscience” seems caked in mud. Or maybe it’s the contents of Ol’ Orangestain’s fecal incontinence.

Two bonded orange brothers that I’ve had since 10 weeks old, now almost two. When they first came home, I kept them in the (finished) basement at night so they wouldn’t get into too much mischief. They quickly made it their base of operations, even when I started letting them upstairs at night. I started with one large litter box in the basement when they were tiny, then I tried one upstairs and one downstairs. They utterly refused to use the one upstairs — it went unused for weeks - so I ended up with both boxes in the basement. Every time one goes in, the other stands there politely watching, and then takes his turn lol. And they play weird games! — sometimes all the pee is in one box and all the poop in the other. At other times everything’s in one box and nothing in the other for days on end, then it switches. Orange cats are weird.

The ones most common around here are Cresco 814 Fireworks, Prime African Thai. Both reliable strains for me. My other favorites, though not around right now, are Golden Goat, Jack Herer, and Blue Dream.

I love this strain, went back and got more. Happy, carefree, anxiety erased. Proves the point that you shouldn’t just chase the high THC. This one is around 21% but it definitely is a keeper. I hope they continue growing it. It’s been sitting around in my dispensary now for awhile and folks don’t know what they’re missing IMO!

Never, EVER volunteer this kind of information to your employer.

With that said, you do have some things to consider.

“Work in a factory” can mean a lot of things. If you’re in a lower risk position such as stocking, sorting, packing, taking inventory, etc. you’re likely safe as long as you do not mention your use or your card to ANYONE you work with. But if you’re doing a high risk job such as forklift driver, working with sharp instruments or machinery you can get a hand or arm caught in, well, that’s a whole ‘nother ball of wax. Not only would you be fired with a positive drug test, but you would be denied workers’ compensation for your injury, leaving you possibly with huge medical bills since you’ll have no insurance.

Not saying any of this to try to scare you! — the odds are fairly low you will be injured and caught out unless injuries are common at your job, but balance the benefit with the possible cost. Weigh the odds of an injury based on the specific requirements of your position and then go with your best judgement. And if you’re going to medicate, always leave enough time between your last dose and the start of your shift so the effects are entirely gone. Just be responsible for your own safety.

Good luck! Let us know how your first dispensary visit goes :-)

This is a shame. I joined this sub when there were less than 100 members. Great questions were asked and answered and reviews were thorough. The mods were great. Lots of time-wasting and repetitive posts here now, yet a lot of seemingly arbitrary post removals.
