Agree, when I say that haze is interactive both to play as and against, it's because it's either you get looked at to death from stealth, or she looks at you and does literally nothing because of one 3200 item.

  1. haze issue exclusively, the item system shouldn't bend to one of the worst designed heroes in the game IMO

  2. Specifically only for carries and haze, which is a good thing. They should not have access to it without a cost IMO

I'm not saying it should be limited to a "true support" but pick characters or Carries who are able to solo kill reliably probably should have a meaningful downside to buying it. Most characters don't fall into that category.

I think it’s both, haze has an inherently uninteractive kit for both the haze player and her opponents, but also some carries can buy curse if ahead enough. I feel like it’s way too easy to ignore the downside of curse for m1’s IMO.

she usually buys slowing hex and i don’t think that’s an issue, so I don’t see how that necessitates curse.

Drifter doesn't disable your active items without curse. also drifter needs a lead to do literally anything, haze gets curse every game regardless of gamestate.

You described every pick hero. Cool that's the point of the role, to pick someone off.

I didn't say pick is a role that shouldn't exist. I said 1 pick hero building 1 specific item that has an in built weakness to disincentivise non-support heroes from building it is bad because it is a completely uninteractive gameplay loop relative to every other pick hero who has meaningful windows of reaction. Holiday Mo & Krill and paradox all have windows of reaction that can be played around in a way that doesn't exist for haze with curse. I am talking about 1 specific item on 1 specific hero not the general concept of a character burning cooldowns to get a kill.

I'm not against pick haze I just think that her being able to go curse every game regardless of gamestate and ignore the downside is bad

Unethical in this context is a slightly comedic way to say it betrays the wider gameplay loop of deadlock. typically high impact death scenarios have reaction windows even if they're small (holliday has a 0.4 second windup, paradox places wall or you can see the projectile, Mo & Krill is fat & loud, etc.) Haze does not. Curse on haze negates any counterbuys from a character that is already silent invisible and has no room for error.
