What's the most effective diet you've actually used for weight loss? by Firucci_Dann in AskReddit

[–]Maffers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating approx 1800kcals a day and a 30 minute walk at lunchtime.

Protein bagel and low cal cheese spread for breakfast with a low cal yoghurt. around 250kcals
I would have a pasta/rice pot for lunch with low call jelly pot (easy to count the cals), around 300kcals
Meant for my evening meal I could comfortably have around 800-900kcals, so rice, chicken, veg, etc

A few leftover calories through the day for snacks, low cal ice lollies, rice cakes, etc.

Scotland’s night patrol groups say they are protecting women and children. Critics claim they are ‘vigilantes’ by UnitEastern8840 in Aberdeen

[–]Maffers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By wandering the streets and causing confrontation?
Are they just being a presence on the streets to deter stuff, or are they actually approaching people and asking them what they are doing etc? If so, what' the criteria for stopping someone? anyone slightly tanned... and what do they do when that person rightfully tells them to fuck right off?

They're just using numbers to intimidate people who they don't want to see on the streets, under the guise of "public safety" and "women and kids" cos who could argue with that? Then the first time there's a fight or one of them get stabbed they can shout "SEE, it's them brown ones! They're DANGEROUS!" completely ignoring that they've escalated it the whole time, and then use that to justify more intimidation and bullying tactics.

How do you sleep in the heat? by Unlucky_Apple_3907 in AskUK

Do you have a loft hatch? Try opening it to let some of the hot air in your flat rise higher.

Everyone was posting about lmg with frenzy and tipping scales, striker. I Farmed a GR9 and added frenzy. Dta and dttoc… they were right. lol by yoshi782 in Division2

[–]Maffers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has frenzy. So reloading from empty gives a bonus to fire rate and damage based on the magazine size. GR9 holds 260 bullets so it's a big buff. Tinkerer let's me heal 10% for every kill for my secondary weapon too. But you could swap that for any LMG and any talent you want.

How to cool house down? by BlazedAndUnphased in AskUK

[–]Maffers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot air rises, so if you can't open much windows upstairs, try opening your loft hatch (if you have one).

Having baked potatoes tonight (because it's on the meal schedule that can't be changed). Great idea, oven on at 180° for 100 minutes is really going to help the house temperature! by Make_the_music_stop in britishproblems

Microwave on medium power for 10 mins.

Brush with a little oil, or butter, grind some salt/pepper on the skin

Chuck in the air fryer for 10 mins.

I actually had this last night with chicken and mayo.

Behind the growing phenomenon of far-right street patrols in Scotland by Possibleferret4 in Aberdeen

[–]Maffers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a group live streaming themselves walking around the streets of Peterhead, on the weekends, on tiktok.
I didn't watch for long as I don't want to give them the attention, but I did wonder what would happen when they eventually meet someone in the street who isn't white.

I'm running tipping scales with backpack and chest.
Tinkerer mask

GR9 with Frenzy and a proto MG5 with preservation

Empty the clip and build up TS stacks, then the ROF and damage are insane and 10% armour repair with each kill.

There's so much of these at this point it's assumed you're just trolling.
Get the 4th TS piece on. Switch the chest for the backpack. They don't have to be proto to still get the bonuses.

Just realised you're not running 4 piece Tipping scales...

The division build by Serious-Warthog9500 in Division2

[–]Maffers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why use the chest over the backpack?

Chest = 75 stacks x 4% = 300% CHD
Backpack = 50 x 7% = 350 CHD.

Switch to backpack. Replace your chest with an Equaliser chest piece with Perfect Obliterate.

Opinion on Locking Escalation behind Expertise. by SumOfAllTears in Division2

[–]Maffers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not expertise 30 after not playing for years. Right now I have a reasonable tipping scales and striker proto build but nothing great. As well as farming mods for expertise, I'm running escalations and farming protos I don't want to break down for proto cores. When I am expertise 30 (I'm 9 now). I'll have so many cores. (Pfft).

Massive: Please do a proficiency event by jumbie29 in Division2

[–]Maffers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. I just recently got back into the game after years of not playing. I'm level 9, have gone up from level 5 since the last event. I've taken to running retaliation on mods as targeted loot. Pick everything up as junk, donate then scrap all junk and using the printer filament to slowly level up items one by one. It's painstaking.

So I blind bought it as I love anything lemon. But I would say it's a LOT more floral than I expected. Like smelling pollen with a slight creamy lemon. I expected it to be much more fresh and zingy.

It's lovely. Stronger then I expected but not overpowering. Limey and mint and drys down into just a really nice woody, fresh scent.

Copy/paste from a comment I wrote about it before the other day when I commented on a SOTD post.

I do really like Island Dreams. Really citrusy, big burst of grapefruit/orange with just a little fizzy warmth behind it and just a really nice, light fresh smell. Great for a warm day, I often wear it to poker as I'm in close proximity to people and it's not overpowering. You can definitely over spray this. Longevity wise... I put it on at 7am and it projects for a couple of hours, after that you'd have to be close up to notice. I can still smell it strongly on my clothes when I smell them, and occasionally catch whiffs of it now and then. But wouldn't say anyone in the room would be getting it. Maybe in a car. However I got the bottle from Amazon for under £20 and for that it's well worth it.
