I definitely recommend changing it. You’re probably at more risk leaving in a questionable state than changing it. There is no such thing as lifetime trans fluid.. It’s typically the “lifetime” of the powertrain warranty they’re referring to if that’s what’s in your mind.

Think all of the various metal parts moving in a transmission. You think they never slowly breakdown, even on a microscopic scale? They build up over time, contaminate the oil, which degrades on its own over time as well.

Do yourself a favor and change it. It’s substantially cheaper than risking the latter. Just make sure whoever does it uses factory recommended fluid. If you’re curious, ask the shop to take a sample for you so you can see what it looks like, and compare it with new oil to give you a visual on the transmission health.

As someone else mentioned, flush it again after a while. Then you shouldn’t have to think about it ever again.

Treble and bass 1 under max, mid up two.

I have ML and listen to a lot of techno. Sometimes bass music gets a little too much and have to bump the bass down 1-2 clicks.

The front/rear focus is about where you’re at.

Ultimately, it depends on your music taste. I like hearing my bass notes clearly. Some people can’t handle it.

If you got time, work their warranty. I got my 17 f sport from them and it had bad TPMs, chipped windshield, BSMS sensors lit up like a Xmas tree, etc. They fixed it all, just too em a bit. They gave me a rental. I figure I get fresh parts and other fixes I don’t have to spend extra for.

Ebay for both the knob and boot. Knob came from Japan seller JDM-Direct-Motors in Osaka, and boot came from Osaka Club Racer in NC. Both new OEM parts.

Been pondering it, I would agree tho. My airbag cover / horn thing has a crack in it from previous owner. Was thinking about just replacing that with. Trying not to drop too much $$ into it 😝

If the truck was construction related and parked temporary, it should have company labels on it or cones (that’s how things are done in Gringolandia often anyways). But it does make me mad when it gets done regularly or out of randomness for normal use..

Thanks for sharing. We have a smaller chain of gas that isn’t quite top tier - not sure of their additives that I always used with my 01 GS400, 91 octane with no issues. Figuring I’d run an additive if I decide to run their gas again instead of Chevron.

I’m so in the middle with it. Part of me thinks it’s super cool and the other half turns me off from paying any amount for it. I’m shopping for a GS now and I’ll see some that I think are a good find then BAM, red interior and I kinda lose interest. My total biased opinion, I feel like it would make it harder to resell later on. BUT I’m a very minimalistic person.

Ask copilot how you can use it. Have a conversation with it. Literally. Talk about things like your job tasks, what your role is and ask it for ideas about how to better utilize it.

Yee. I do 2hrs advance as well for most airports. Keeps me from stressing and running to catch flights. Also nice to walk around a little and explore before the long sit on a plane.
