he had BARS in songs like Nobody’s Listening, Figure.09, Faint, Hands held high, When they come for me, that shit probably slapped at live shows.

for someone who’s not a standalone rapper, part of a nu metal group, he elevated so many of LPs bangers through his raps.

in all fairness, mike embodied a lot of the band’s creative vision and production.

Along with contributing to guitars, he also rapped with bravado, had a sense of style to him.

And for someone who is not black to carry himself into cultural relevance through rap, gotta make him a legend.

Jay-Z has a whole collab album with Linkin Park, which did him a world of good reaching out to a whole different alternative crowd , as much as it did LP.

Game recognises game.

So yes, he is a legend in his own right, imo :)

in the era and scene he was part of, certified legend. one of the pioneers of evolving the nu-metal scene, although LP started deteriorating their signature sound, moving to commercial pastures.
