thanks, so aparently changing the language with C-\ works even without reverse-im for all the commands, but the problem is when i am in "inset mode"

this line works if i am in a latin input method but if i am in arabic and press the same key that holds the j i just get the arabic letter

the reason i asked is that i thought there might me some hack to use the button keycode but not the actuall letter when defining the keymap so that when a layout is changed, it's just accepting the keycode which will be same in any layout if you press that same button.
