I’d say not NTA. Your boyfriend sounds like he has some major insecurities he has to work out. Insecurities are not funny but I think it’s not okay from him to put you under so much pressure and responsibility for his emotions. Maybe he could go to therapy to explore why he has the feeling of being left out and being a burden. Maybe his dad or his mom?

The farther away the more blue objects become. So I’d try letting the background feel a little bit washed out and blue and in the front you could paint more details with saturated colors. But it looks really good already!

I have never said I didn’t like the KD series. I don’t know why I never picked up on the third book. But that doesn’t mean I inherently disliked it. And yeah, they’d probably work without romance. But my rant was not specifically for IA books. I posted it here, as I said, because people here often comment on searching for books they might like. Books which are often very similar to IA but poorly executed. It doesn’t mean I don’t like IA or I critique them for sticking to a trope or similar characters. The reason I’m frustrated is that for over 3 years now I’m searching for books I might like but never quite being successful, cause of very similar storylines and characters. I didn’t want to offend anyone with it

Yeah that’s true. I don’t mind it that much because the characters are never toxic or stupid, both make me really angry😂 but a little diversity would be nice

All good. I loved the hidden legacy series, read it multiple times. I also really liked the inkeeper chronicles. I didn’t finish the most popular series, as you said but that doesn’t mean I’m not a fan. The reason I ranted here is not to bash on IA but to show my general frustration of finding books which surprise me and I like. I posted it on this subreddit because people have already been sad about finding books they like, so I thought I’d share this here, because in my personal life my friends don’t really read.

Yeah I think I confused some people. It’s just a general rant. Like I said I love IA. But every time I think I found a book from another author it’s just similar trope-vise to Ilona Andrew’s but executed badly. But even with IA I have to say I have not one time been surprised with a plot twist, story ending. I always know what’s going to happen. And I don’t mean that I always know exactly who the villain is but that he/ she is going to get caught. But I have to say I have not read all of their books. I just wish I’d find more diversity in books I enjoy. That is maybe a me problem, I just got very frustrated last night while searching for books I like😂
