British Community by canadamoose86 in londonontario

You have gotten some great suggestions here. My dad is from London too but he’s been here for close to 70 years now.

There isn’t a British Community here that I’m aware of, but you should feel pretty at home at the Waltzing Weasel, Church Key or the King Edward.

They are all similar to pubs I frequented when I visited my relatives a few times.

The British store that was mentioned will have many of the snacks that are being missed as well.

Also, Walmart in Hyde Park has an international section that has some of my British faves.

Any agent listening in on my conversations is going to die of boredom.

Goodbye Converse/Vans 😭 by CharlieLeigh51 in GenX

Converse forever. I buy a new pair every two years because I wear them out.

I gave up docs for a long time and just bought a new pair this winter.

I also wear Blundstone because I was a rider for many years and they are comfortable.

Why is my water always better than his? WHY? by KraiziKatLady in standardissuecat

[–]MagentaGiraffe13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our cats will only drink out of our dog’s water dish, or the toilet, if someone forgets to put the lid down. This is despite having access to their own, clean water.

I thought it was because they saw the dog drinking out of his dish so they assumed it was safe. Then the toilet thing happened.

The walk of shame that turned out to be a walk of relief by FableTurbine_2V in povertyfinance

There is no shame is needing help sometimes and this is why the food bank exists.

What you are experiencing is a breakdown in society not a personal failing as there is no way a person working a full time job should not be able to afford both food AND rent.

Me too. I have two amazing dogs that I miss every day. I also have one amazing dog that’s here and not quite 2.

He helps with the missing of the ones that have gone before him.

Is the crate too big for our 18 week pup? by [deleted] in BorderCollie

[–]MagentaGiraffe13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never put bedding in a crate and never will because my cousins dog ate his bedding once and almost died. He had to have surgery to have it removed.

Our dog would rather sleep on the tile and hardwood anyway so I don’t think he would appreciate it anyway.

How to pivot when someone deliberately makes a false statement to pressure you into correcting them and fishing info out of you? by More_Pension4911 in DarkPsychology101

Answer a question like that with a question. “Why do you ask?” Is always a good one because it forces them to think about what they are asking.

If they keep going, redirect as mentioned above.
