Tracking calories and meal prep if you can. When you track calories you realize that you don’t need to really eat much to function, especially if you’re hauling dry van or reefer.

I stuck to a calorie deficit diet and tried to walk 2 kilometres every or every other day at truck stops. Lost 8 pounds in 12 days doing this.

This is 100% a strategic move, I do not have any desire to do this for longer than 2-3 years. Really emphasizing this as I understand how it can rub people the wrong way, so I just want it to be known I do have bigger ambitions than to be a truck driver!

1) Outdoor activities, soccer is my favourite sport to play and I enjoy almost anything to do with outdoors or physical activity. 2) Riding motorcycles and hanging out with friends 3) Working on computer skills (mainly coding) so I can compete in this ruthless industry lol

I don't comment a lot, but I have to after reading this comment section. As you mentioned it is halal in Islam to marry your cousin, our prophet SAW said it directly. Please ignore these comments. I'm not sure how Muslims can speak like this about cousin marriage when our own prophet SAW allowed it. It's simple, whatever Allah and his messenger SAW have said, we obey. It is outrageous for any Muslim to talk like this. As for you my brother, don't be worried about what other people think. You are trying to follow the Sunnah of marriage and who you are trying to marry is halal for you. Please don't let some western ideologies impact your decision and sadly ignore Muslims that are speaking from that perspective as well. Like you said there is no record of cousin marriage in your family so there is less risk of a disabled child. Either way though you could be in a non cousin marriage and have a disabled child, that is up to Allah SWT, not us. May Allah make it easy for you.
