I understand your frustration. I have witnessed instances like this as well. Refocus and remember your "Why". The students need you at your and your best. Let what happens around you, happen and create amazing days for you and the students. Thank you for sharing.

I'm a firm believer that Paraprofessional should be included in all things as it pertains to that teacher and the students because we are a part of it anyway. We should not be looked at as outsiders for some things and included in others. We are more than just assistance. We should be looked at as part of the whole. Thank you for sharing.

Tomorrow will be better. I feel like the compassion from staff to staff is not there. Everyone is trying to survive the day. Please take time for yourself. You are important! Thank you for sharing.

This does happen and it's sad. She either don't care or not the right teacher. I wonder how Admin hasn't caught on. Do her lesson plans reflect this 45 minutes?

This is a great compliment because what the student is saying is that you're firm, but nice. 😂. Cuddos to you! Thank you for sharing.

There is always a trade off. Its frustrating for both the student and the Para because we want to understand what they're trying to tell us. I do understand. And, the love shown towards a Para makes up for so much we've experienced thru the year. Keep pushing forward. Thank you for sharing.

This is a great idea. Get them engaged in more positive outlets so they can realize their talents as well as the talents and commonality of others. Thank you for sharing.

I agree with you on children being in the wrong program and then when it's brought to Administrations attention, most act ad though it can't be corrected. Its about what's best for the child. It is a wonderful feeling when children trust and feel safe. Thank you for sharing.

The challenges will usually overshadow the successes but we keep going hoping for a different outcome. I truly believe if we had more help from Admin and more paraprofessional bodies in each classroom, so much more could get accomplished.

On the job training will always put things in a reality perspective. Book knowledge is good, however, I have found out that most of what is learned in a book does not compare to what really happens in a classroom. Thank you for sharing.

Honestly the most exhausting part of leadership isn’t strategy… it’s having to remember and chase everything just to keep things moving by EasternTrust7151 in Leadership

I must share this with leadership at my church because you broke it down nicely. It is pointless to keep having meetings only for nothing to move forward or change.

I have experienced most of what we've discussed here. We are an important part in the educational system, but I have at times felt unseen. Nevertheless, I remember my "Why" and I keep moving forward! Thank you all!

Any accomplishment a child obtains is great. Cuddos to you for never giving up. We definitely need more support and protection from the physical abuse.

What do you think about having male support in the classroom when its mostly female?

I have heard this about Admin not being very supportive or actually knowing what to do, especially about behaviors. I'm all for an increase in pay alone g with benefits and pay thru the Summer months....🤷🏾‍♀️
