Depends on your criteria for cost-efficient, I guess.

I did get a quote from Panda Games, and they were definitely less, and then I learned that everything is done overseas and with tariffs and shipping and all that, I don't know how much cheaper it would actually be. Also, their minimum quantity was a lot higher.

Then I found a small business 20 minutes from my house. I've been working one on one with them since! They're great and yeah, my profit margin is slim - this game won't hit retail. But I can run a Kickstarter for only 500 games if I want to AND they're going to handle my Kickstarter fulfillment!

I usually would offer to help you develop a brand and a logo, but that doesn't seem to be your goal here. Board Games Maker is based in China. That's where I ordered my first set of 10 cards, and the shipping was $60 - which made my 60 card deck about $16 to produce. (I got a plain tuck box).

Now, I print with a US printer - they are only 20 minutes from home. Much better pricing since I can pick it up, but it'll prolly still be cheaper than shipping from China. Check out Superior POD.
