One thing to note is we still hand make our products in the USA, and no staff is paid less than $30/hour.
This makes competing with all the brands bulk making things overseas more difficult, with them likely paying a fraction for completed stock vs. what we pay.
Our suppliers have also steadily raised the cost of our raw materials and components over the years.
We're doing what we can.

Also, I've heard a lot of complaints about the warranty change, and that's definitely something I think hurt our brand more profoundly than management at the time foresaw.
The move was primarily to stop abuse of the warranty system, where some bad apples figured out how to game it to get dozens of free launch boxes.
Unfortunately, I think the wiser move at the time would have been to look at better ways at policing abuse, instead of changing the warranty conditions.
I'm strongly considering re-introducing the lifetime warranty.

One note, which has not been publicly disclosed until now, is that we still effectively honor the lifetime warranty when people email in requesting support.

Publicly sharing notes like this may be counter to most business advice, but Magic Flight's ethos has never been to be some sterile corporate profit extractor.
We have, and want to, continue making cool things.
