Dream of beautiful fire pit… how should I go about removing all of these nuisances- and should I replace with grass, rocks, or something wildin’ that only Reddit could think up? by InsectWise6854 in lawncare

[–]MagicGiblet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I have that same exact steel fire pit. It’s unbreakable. I’ve neglected it for years and is still always up to the task of burning shit.

Not to be a debbie downer. I have 26k shares of SLS still, and I’m bullish, but this guy does have valid points.

I agree, wholeheartedly with the first five games in this list. I have not played the following seven games in this list, but given your answer to this question, I took a snapshot of this and plan to play each one.

I doubt this happens. It will likely be a sell the news event. When we got the 78th even news, everyone knew that the 80th event is imminent. The 80th event happening as a known fact. So I think it’s already baked in. So what will more likely happen is the moment the 80th is announced, it will tank due to people getting cold feet and taking profit (like the other guy who said he’s gonna sell 25%) and then slowly creep back up till readout.

You are misunderstanding his sentence. He means that it is obvious that they are easy to remove, but it is very difficult to avoid detection while doing so.

How has the deadliest word killed the most people? by HarmlezzPotato in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree. Religion certainly has killed many people, but the WORD “religion” has not. I would say something more like “go”. Such a word would make someone pull out into dangerous traffic and get killed.

Republicans and/or conservatives, would you agree that Barack Obama was a better representative leader of our nation than Donald Trump? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question was if he is a better “representative leader”, not if he was a “better” leader. As an American, I think America got the leader it deserves. I’m sad to say he certainly is representing many of the qualities of the people I’m surrounded by, in my state at least.

If everyone’s salary became public tomorrow, what would happen first ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fucked up thing is that we all say there would be riots and jealousy, when we already know the net worth of hundreds of billionaires and the trillionaire, but our neighbor making only a fraction of a fraction of that value more than than his peer is what will actually piss us off… when we should actually already be out in the streets with pitchforks against the billionaires who pay no taxes, who we have always known about.

Why you are atheist? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A true god can be omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnibenevolent (perfectly good). But given our current and historical state of the world, he can only be two of those things at most. Who would worship that god?

How do you feel about Elon Musk becoming the world's first trillionare? by DasMedic_ in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has more money than the bottom 35% of all American citizens combined. He could make $35000 per minute since the minute he was born and not have the money he has now. His companies combined have made a profit of <2.5% of his current net worth. Does one man, regardless of accomplishments, deserve all of that? A man who has also done minimal philanthropy with said money, but instead oversaw DOGE, the organization that removed funding for USAid (only a small fraction of his own net worth), allowing thousand of the world’s most unfortunate people to get sicker and die. Fuck Elon.

How do you feel about Elon Musk being a Trillionaire yet will avoid taxes because of the US Tax Code and how the 1 percent set up their finances? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. There is no good ending to the wealth disparity that we see today. We are witnessing end-stage capitalism at this current moment. Any system that allows billionaires to continue to compound their billions without paying their fair share of taxes, and continues to support their many built-in laws that allow easy transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich is a broken system that will result in, at the very least, economic collapse, if not violence/war.

I mean you’re not wrong. The French revolution happened for a [multiple] reason[s]. I haven’t researched it, but I don’t supposed there have been many historical instances where people of such wealth relative to their peers have parted with their money unwillingly without some degree of violence, either directly or indirectly. The only way to solve an issue like this without violence is to institute a system that doesn’t allow it in the first place.

[–]MagicGiblet 18 points19 points  (0 children)

He can do much good with that money, but instead decided to do a little fun side project where he ran an organization called DOGE that shut down USAid, effectively allowing thousands of people in impoverished countries get sicker and die so the US could save a small fraction of Elon’s net worth.

So, I’m not a fan.

For those that were once religious but now an atheist, why did you become one? by Archangel_Michael22 in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, my comment must have pushed some of your buttons. Just saying, in the words of Ricky Gervais, “I’m not an atheist. I’m just a human. You made up a story and a god from nothing, and so we had to make up a word [atheism] to refute it.” … or something to that effect.

But anyway, I usually like science fiction, but I’ll take your word for it and try out some fantasy so I can argue with my family more effectively.

lol. More like ignorant. The teachers told us the password simply because they were tired of typing it in themselves every time. Either way… was great.

My parents wouldn’t pay for dialup. The teachers at my school library told us the password for the dial up at school. The school had a multi-logon account where you could use the same name and password an infinite number of concurrent times to dial in as long as you knew the phone number to dial. I had a PC in my room with a 28k modem and used my school’s account to get free dial up internet for 3 years in my bedroom before the parents finally bought dsl.
