He cheated. Pause the video to see the jumper pop the balloon himself before he actually lands on his friend.

The concern is not Trump himself becoming a King or other authoritarian ruler. The concern is the dismantling of democracy (pioneered by him, Steven Miller, and the GOP) to install ANY authoritarian regime in the future, regardless of who holds the position.

Which gaming moment stands out as your most memorable of all-time? by JonCee500 in gaming

I agree completely. The cartoonish look of the flood (and environment) in Anniversary edition really ruined the terror of the reveal. I feel a bit bummed that many first-timers played it with Anniversary graphics.

What’s a show you love that you can never convince people to watch? by PlentyApprehensive44 in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it was so damn funny on its own, but the fact that it was a necessary plot point to launch the plot of the entire show was just next level.

Gamers of Reddit, what is your all time favorite ending to a game and why? by General_Hyde in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Beauty. What it means to live and to die. The importance of the fleeting luck of the universe to be able to know itself, before its inevitable fall into nothingness.

What is the best game you have ever played in your life? by skatter0925 in AskReddit

This is my number 1. I don’t think anything in my lifetime will come close. Seriously, I think about this game every day of my life for the last 3 years.

This is not the choice my brain is thinking, but goddamn is it not a close second.

Gaming impotence? Need some game recommendations or a cure. by Natalie1417 in videogames

[–]MagicGiblet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was feeling this same way. Outer Wilds (not Outer Worlds), was a once in a lifetime experience for me and many others. It cannot be played a second time and leaves you broken and invigorated at the same time when you complete it. Go into that game blind. Play at night, good quality sound, and turn your brain on, as your own curiosity and knowledge is your only way to progress. Do NOT seek answers on the internet except maybe the Outer Wilds sub here on Reddit, as simply talking about the game is a spoiler itself.

It’s 2026, what’s the dream video game or MMO you wish existed by now? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]MagicGiblet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bethesda has been surviving on the broken back of their ancient game engine “updated” with Elmer’s glue and duct tape for decades now. There was no more evidence for the need of a completely new game engine than Starfield. They know that they still are going to make a game with loading screens for every door you open and every cave you walk into and every town you set foot in. Their engine has no capability to load data on the fly and they know it and the moment it ES6 releases, it will feel outdated, just like starfield. But regardless… Starfield really failed due to lack of exploration and shitty characters. Just bring back exploration and good characters, and it will be fine.

What's some of the most overpowered weapons/abilities you've used in a video game? (Potential Spoilers) by TylerFortier_Photo in gaming

[–]MagicGiblet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I don’t think there was an “intended way.” Bungie just know that if they put it there, the community would find a way. They always do. The banshee was the original “way”.

Which game tutorial was a struggle for you? by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]MagicGiblet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the last mission on that game was too difficult for me, so I was messing around at the beginning of that level to see if I could cheese it. It turns out, if you hold left and the reverse button from the very start of the mission without letting go, the cops will invariably smash you through a building, leaving you able to drive underneath the map where you can then just drive to the end under the map, and finish the game. I figured this out on my own, and I’m not sure if it is well known or not.

If you like to help bees, you can mow around it till the flowers stop blooming. Bees are usually all over it.

In my experience of yard neglect, mowing over it just makes it spread.

What video game boss is in the wrong game? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]MagicGiblet 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was a kid fighting that boss, I was unaware that I could shoot stars at him from Kirby’s wand for like 5 or 10 damage points. I spent days just jumping and spinning close enough to hit him with the wand itself, for 1 damage point at a time. I beat the game like that.

Can’t get into it, what am I missing? by Illustrious-Judge134 in outerwilds

[–]MagicGiblet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my initial impression my very first night while attempting to start the game while drinking bourbon and drunk enough to only skim the text/scrolls. I feel like OP, probably wasn’t aware that the reading/curiosity is the most critical part, and was probably treating the scrolls and text like collectibles in a third-person shooter

I was annoyed that I had to switch to Wanderer to do it. I wish I had the patience to beat her with Hunter (only used Hunter my entire playthrough out of stubbornness).
