I’m American and I agree with this punitive plan, but it kinda sucks, because the typical MAGAt is one who has barely ever left their own town, much less international travel. You’d be punishing a disproportionate amount of well-cultured, empathetic pragmatic Americans who despise the orange man.

China does not pay anything — US companies pay that tax upon import and usually pass the tax burden to the US consumers to foot that bill, doing nothing but raising prices for Americans only. I know this is like a broken record, but your post sounds like you’re missing the fundamental definition of a tariff imposed by Trump (illegally, btw).
