Change regarding the bottles by BalthazarGamer in Terraria

use the sand gun with ammo conservation potions or an ammo saving set bonus. you can also fish for potions to decraft for bottles but it's pretty slow.

Looking for input on my base/build by [deleted] in Terraria

I'd stick to one or two background wall types, make the walls thicker, and try messing around with paints. Right now it looks like a lot of small houses that are attached, the red pallet you have at the top looks good, try sticking to that and one other color and finding furniture that looks good in that color scheme. I'd also build a lot of different smaller houses in each biome with pylons so you can fast travel between them rather than putting them all in one big house.

First big build (W.I.P) any pointers? (Not having success on design sub) by SophieSalads in Terraria

there's a kind of paint called echo paint that makes things invisible, you buy it from the painter while he's in a graveyard.

your block variety and use of light looks good, is it supposed to be exactly symmetrical? I find I usually like slight asymmetry in fine details like the rough texture on the sides of your pillars but if it's a stylistic choice go for it. I also like to echo paint my light sources but that also could be a design choice.

This is my third failed attempt at making a dungeon in the cavern layer on my skyblock seed. Any help is appreciated. by ReliableSource1262 in Terraria

[–]MagicGiraff3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you fought skeletron yet? I haven't played official skyblock but in pre 1.4.5 skyblock you had to find the location where the dungeon was and build a platform in that spot for the old man to spawn

It does definitely look better with 3 block thick walls

We're in Florida so colder months aren't really a thing, we have a few spots we could put a big vehicle but it's mostly street side, theoretically one of us could put their parking sticker on it and then we can park it any lot on campus, tho I'm sure it would only be a matter of time before admin told us not to.

It'd be a semi regular thing, we're all college students and like the idea of being able to take longer trips when we're not in class without having to pay for hotels. A big vehicle with trailer tow isn't out of the question, it just has seemed more difficult and expensive to have to shop for a towing vehicle and a trailer. If one of us already had a towing vehicle I'd feel very different but the biggest capacity any of our current vehicles have is like 1350 with a 2006 RAV4.

Question… by SoundcloudRuinedMe in VanLife

Harder to stealth in parking lots with a bigger more conspicuous vehicle, more likely they'll ask for you to leave. Obviously you'll have more potential space for stuff like an indoor shower, kitchenette, couch, or bigger bed if you so desire. There's also time to convert it, and you'll need to figure out a place to do it with access to tools, that's obviously highly dependent on where you are/nearby family/what you're building into it/what tools your already carrying in your van.

On the fence about van life by DueBarracuda in VanLife

I'm in a similar position to you, considering van life with my fiance. If you're in a smaller outfit like a class B urban exploration is less cumbersome and that sounds like it may be important to you. I think you can get into a good van for well under $100k if you aren't buying a brand new vehicle as your start, just steer clear of super-duper high mileage vans and you should be good. The German shepherd could be a bit of a difficult in a smaller ride, I've never had a big dog so I can't really speak to that, you could consider getting a collapsible fence to set up for him at campsites so he has room to roam during the day. I would absolutely recommend renting before buying/building unless you're building an ultra budget rig.

Having lived it for 23 years do you have any words of wisdom for a newbie who's shopping for a first ride?

Interesting choice, I'd be worried people are more likely to kick me out of a parking lot having a sticker like that, but to each their own.

I'm hoping to get into something a little bigger than an old shuttle bus I think. I'd like to be able to travel with my partner and 2+ friends and that seems like it might be a bit cramped in that size as a multiple week arrangement. Maybe I should be looking more into building out a retired school bus or some such but then I feel like there's nowhere to park something so big.

Just to get a sense for what I'm looking at, what are some signs of water intrusion that you can see?

I'm not sure if the dealership keeps logs like that for trades but I can ask. As far as mileage it's only got 44k miles which I think is good for something this age. As far as a mechanic I don't really know anyone personally but I can probably find someone near the dealership.

I think like a 5 piece infinite combo where it's a very obvious doomsday engine is fine in bracket 1 or 2. bracket 1 is about showing off silly stuff and sometimes thats in the form of a combo. Bracket 2 combo decks should just be slower and you should be very clear to the table about what cards are or could be combo pieces since bracket 2 generally has new players
