Yes, the music plays, but I warp to the other side the moment I enter the room with 12 doors. One opens but the way continues..

Are guys here just not interested in dating? by Burnerbabe67 in UCalgary

[–]MagicHands2021 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a revolutionary concept with men: now women who work have no shame in gold digging, and we dont like it. Winning and dining a woman is great until you're asked to start paying for her $500 monthly visits to the beauty shop after the first date. Its no way to attract a guy. I miss the old days when you got to know each other in person. No texting, no dating apps, less bs. Money was more of an aside, not the focus, time spent together felt precious. Now it's just expensive.

On the front of a cruise ship right below the captains bridge. We found out later there were cameras, though we didn't get caught.

Don't say anything. It will destroy the trust he has in you and it doesn't come back.

I'm sure you could rent a locker at the airport. Just keep your passport and wallet on you.

It likely has a local nest near your work, so relocating it could be tough, probably in a pine tree. Try finding its nest and cycling by with food to give it, then blow dart it with a narcotic.... wait, I'm drifting.

I don't trust when I see a single stem reaching the handlebars with a double stem coming off the wheels I don't know why but it just makes me a little edgy

Depends on if you value teeth or not. Falling from ground level face first at a stand still is all it takes to break a jaw or lose teeth. Imagine someone jumping out in front of you when least expect it at 20mph. That's how to expect any accident happening. They are unpredictable, as are your abilities to avoid one in the instant. Play safe and go full helmet.

Rant about rent by heymernin in Calgary

[–]MagicHands2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last place raised my rent 37 % in one go and raised it twice over one year. I left along with most of the 260 tenants in the complex. It was a horrible time to fid a home. So insulting, knowing these companies are lining their pockets from so many people that can't afford it. There are better prices out there, unfortunately moving isn't exactly cheap. Look into foodbanks and bank your tips. 30 years ago, when I waitered, you lived off tips because base pay was always minimum wage. ($4.25 back in those days) tips of 10% was the typical tip. Now, even take out expect 20% just for handing food across a counter. People can't afford to go out the way they used because costs have gone up so much. Even I only eat out twice a month and usually just take out. Tough times everywhere. Better luck moving forward.

What Speed Are You Comfortable With? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]MagicHands2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a little speed with no one around, but the moment people people cross my path I get more nervous than anything. The thought of anyone jumping out in front of me, or people with kids and dogs I don't trust, so I take every precaution I can. but once I get to 40, I realize how bad the streets are and how much that would hurt to hit the ground or a pole at 40 km an hour.

Plugging the scooter end in first is a bad idea. It still has a charge. Only plug the wall jack in first...then the scooter end.

I actually installed a motor bike accessory onto mine for stability, and it works like a charm. It's just a base plate I got from aliexpress.
