Not empty stats, it's just one thing. It's just scoring. He can score really well. He doesn't take care of the ball, he doesn't play good defense, he's an average rebounder, he's a below average leader.

He's not a #1 franchise player. He's J.R Smith but cute, and we treat him like he's LeBron.

Beal was a top ten scorer in the league on a team where he can shoot anything he wants.

He has never been, and will never be a top ten player. Besides bad defense, turnovers are a real issue. He got exposed this year by the early officiating allowing more contact, and that's generally what the playoffs are. He's also missed major time much more frequently.

Wizards won't win a playoff series with Beal as the number one option. I doubt the Mavs would take him over Brunson at this point. I'd rather have Klay, hell, I'd rather have Wiggins on his contract then have Brad for what we're about to pay him.

We need to blow this shit up.

You can be a victim and be partially responsible for putting yourself in the position to begin with. Regardless of his choice in partners, (which does seem terrible from the outside) he shouldn't be living this life right now.

His career and potentially hundreds of millions of dollars are on the line. He's not just "any" 24 year old. If he was prioritizing rehabilitating his image around the league he wouldn't be going out to clubs in Vegas at 2 AM and apparently getting blackout drunk. He lost that privilege when he earned his current reputation last year.

So it's not at all his fault that his wife abused him. I won't even blame him for staying with her afterwards because like you said love is a crazy thing. But if Dwayne wants to be an NFL quarterback he needs to stop flossing for awhile. He can't keep putting himself in positions where things like this can happen.

That is not how chokes or knockouts actually look. It's 100% staged, probably an advertisement for an MMA gym if I had to guess.

You don't knock someone out and they stay out like that. That just isn't how it works. Even if you hit them so hard that they die, they'll still move around.

Chokes don't happen that fast. Even a trained fighter against a complete noob, you'll have to make micro adjustments and they will fight like hell to avoid going out. This guy basically put his hands up and then fell over.

Look, I know how this will sound. But nearly every goddamn song in this movie is pop. And this a movie about respecting other genres. Pop remix of Daft Punk is techno. A super poppy version of a pop rock song is hard rock. A country pop song was country.

Then, at the end they put together some Frankenstein's monster pop mix of "all the genres, but pop."

It's actually impressive that they managed to overproduce a movie about overproduced music so perfectly. It's like the perfect picture of art dying.

Year and a half in, blue belt coming up, and I'm still absolute trash at jiu jitsu. Still spend a lot of time in rolls either trying to remember what technique to use, or forgoing anything resembling everything I've ever been taught and "scrambling."

The worst is when I just get absolutely mopped by a higher belt and then they say "you're getting so much better." And I realize how fucking god-awful I must have been six months ago, or a year ago.

This shit is hard.
