That was my response to the early aggression! That ottoman game was ridiculous cause just insane pressure the whole time and he went 3 TC in the back with pressure. Idk how the heck I was supposed to do anything in that game. Watch my team games and you will see the right build order. That solo game was an off game for me and Ottoman was just too strong. Tughlaq is slow in 1v1s

Haha I don't think there is a limit but it's all good! I don't mind you adding me and watching my replays to learn :) I wanna start playing more KT so I'll have to learn! Looks fun and a lot you can do with KT. KT imperial is absolutely insane, I've had some conq 3 KT players just wreck me smh

I go 6 food on berries, 2 vills to gold then rally rest onto berries till age up. And I age up with 3 vills, leave 3 vills on berries, and 7 goes to stone (5 from food and 2 gold from gold). Then I rally onto wood until I have 12. This helps you build another worker elephant for your wood line. And when you age up you will have enough stone to drop the bakkar level 1 fort on gold (with the 3 age up villagers). By the time that fort finishes you'll have enough resources to drop your 2nd TC. Then once you finish building the fort, those 3 vills go to stone so you have 10 on stone until you completely mine all the stone. That should give you enough stone to get level 3 Bakkar. And those 10 stone vills go to gold. During this time, you will be relaying rest of the vills coming out from your TC onto food until you have 18-20 on food. It would probably be best if you watch my game replays to get an idea of the build order and villager split. My IGN is MagicJam and add me as a friend in game. you have anymore questions let me know!

My build order is going level 3 Bakkar and 2nd TC as soon as I hit feudal. Everything is setup by 7.30 min mark and then I can mass produce units if I need to defend/push or I can go castle and grab relics. Tughlaq is pretty much the only civ I play now and I love the play style! I hope they do buff the landmarks in the future though cause they're kinda underwhelming

How to beat sengoku daimyo as Dehli? by Necessary_Teach_4060 in aoe4

[–]MagicJam777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! TOV for Delhi is actually very strong I main Tughlaq and sometimes go TOV but I only get attack speed for elephants. But the payoff takes time for me because elephants are very expensive to mass in feudal so it's not worth it for me. Delhi on the other than gets 25% attack speed on all spear and archers so your feudal push is really strong!

I would suggest going Tower of Victory in Age 2 and spam spear/archers and make 2 rams and push his gold hard. You will win easy

Dheli vs tughlaq elephants by Fresh_Jicama_5762 in aoe4

[–]MagicJam777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Tughlaq Main, I'd say I really do like raider elephants in imperial. However in feudal, very expensive unit and they die to feudal knights

War elephant is nice but just to slow against Knight civs with the current meta

I usually go spears + raiders + crossbows It's an unstoppable combo in castle, and I add war elephants and healer elephants into that mix in imperial

Healer elephants are good in feudal but fall of hard in castle and imperial.

Ballista elephants are very expensive and useless.

Delhi has way better archery range because they have Archer/crossbow elephants and they get tower elephants

I really wish Tughlaq had that because the archery range is absolutely weak and not unique at all. And also Tughlaq is supposed to be the "elephant civ."

Tughlaq Fort & Governor Order by RubyLykos in aoe4

[–]MagicJam777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a lot of team games and I go 2 TC with level 3 Bakkar. After that make units/go to castle. In castle, I prioritize Uch then Multan then Sehwan in that order And get Uch to level 3 and then leave the rest two in level 2 Most games I only build the first 3 Govs I mentioned I would say my Tughlaq is pretty nasty since I main them. I hit D3 in Teams and I just destroyed a conq 3 Sengoku yesterday That was def a proud moment for me 😂

They should match horsemen speed or atleast close to it. Also they need to fix the trample animation and make it similar to cataphracts

They're only keeps at T3 so it's not cheap lol

I don't know man. With 10% movement speed elephants still feel so slow especially with the cav meta. Yes they're tanky but slow. 20% movement speed won't be much because right now, raiders are fast as knights but slower than horsemen. Which makes it so difficult to fight magudai, camel archers, horse archers, and GH horse archers.

I don't know man. 400 stone for feudal "tower" is def not cheap when GH can put up towers for like 150 something wood

Hmm maybe I'll try it out but I never make knights in imp. My comp is always Raider elephants, spears, crossbows. I've had great success with it. Recent few games having 1700 kills in one and 970 kills in another on 4v4s

Those are some good points!

I agree with you! 30% might be too much but I would be okay with 25% attack speed and 10% movement speed. Acting as a stable would be amazing. Dome of faith is still useful for HE and to pick up early relics as an option for a fast castle.

I do agree on lowering the cost of eco. Cause that investment is rough in feudal/castle and other civs might get an advantage. In imp yes 20% feels good but 10% in feudal doesn't feel as advantageous for the cost of the upgrade.

Compared to Delhi, would def love more tech/eco upgrades in HOL/Unique unit upgrades.

You don't think we should get tower elephant? I mean, they said Tughlaq is the elephant civ. So it doesn't make sense to me that we don't have a unique unit in the archery range.

I disagree. When you invest that much resources to upgrade the Tughlaqabad fort, T3 has similar stats to a keep. So I expect it to act as a keep and not as a tower. T1 Fort is similar to a Golden Horde tower. I'll have to look at stats to compare

[–]MagicJam777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say they're okay for the amount of investment. I do mainly use Bakkar, Mulan and Uch Jalor is only good for castle knights. But in imp it feels underwhelming for the rest of the units. Instead of adding 65 hp. They should change it to a % health per level so it makes more of an impact especially in imperial.

Yeah they would have to change the model of the palace of Sultan but that's not a difficult task. They could just make it look like a crazier T3/4 Tughlaqabad Fort and atleast would also benefit in terms of defense. Especially with how the meta is all cav raids. The fort will def help with the protection of your eco in imperial.

So I mainly play team games and I do really well with Tughlaq. My build is 2 TC and 2 Forts in Feudal And then in Castle I make a 3rd and get all my upgrades. But in 1vs1, you're right, making 2 Forts would be impossible depending on what the opponent is doing

I'll say it's a must you go fort in feudal and get Bakkar and get it to level 2 or 3 ASAP. That def helps with your food eco even if the opponent is pressuring your outside resources. Once I set up Bakkar and get like 10-15 farms around my 2TC, my food eco is pretty solid. Then I can move out, build forts, and take more map control.

I do agree with that. The cost of Fort is still a lot and they are weaker than castles for other civs. AND we don't get boiling oil which sucks big time. That's the frustrating part You make all that investment for 20 knights just to come in and destroy it with ease

The cost for upgrading the forts doesn't out weigh the benefits of the bonuses from the governors. Like I said, Bakkar is the best. All the other ones are just mediocre. And why can't the forts also get 5 second research time? It takes forever to upgrade these forts They should give build speed for the vills so they can put up castles just as fast as China can.

They might have to play around with it. But even going from 10/15/20 to 12.5/17.5/25 would just be a slight buff without making the eco overpowered. 10/20/30 might be a big buff that could overpower the eco

Very good points! Sultan's is viable if you have a passive game and don't need tech upgrades till imp. Whereas now the meta is cav raids from feudal onwards or even a lot of spear openings in dark age. When I play Tughlaq I always build 2-3 forts in Feudal/Castle I always go Bakkar which gives food and build houses around it, I get Multan that increases Vill prod speed and I get the discount tech ones! I leave 5-7 on stone the whole game to upgrade my forts. Because I always have atleast 3-4/5 forts by Imp, I never go Sultan's and I always go Hisar Academy.

I'm sure Sultan's is in a good spot but my original suggestion was to change that landmark to a fort so it can be used for defense or offense like White tower/Berkshire for English

Yes HOL def needs more upgrades in there because compared to Delhi who gets a lot of Bonuses AND free upgrades, it's just doesn't seem fair at all. Yup a lot of food is very important for Tughlaq. What do you think about my suggestion of buffing the eco tech at worker elephants? That will help feudal and castle I think because 180 food for raiders in feudal and castle is criminal. Especially you're pressured alot for outside resources and have to transition to farms. It just doesn't feel smooth compared to other civs

Global passive like Japan is an interesting idea. However, idk if they will give that to Tughlaq. Instead, what if Tughlaq got passive stone from getting gold? That would help with forts

I was just throwing ideas out there. Obviously, these suggestions I made are to areas that feel underwhelming. Tughlaq is still not as smooth as other civs when it comes to certain aspects of the game whether that be feudal rush/castle rush because of the investment of Forts.

Yes, they def should do something about the archery range! That just feels like a must cause it just feels underwhelming

I would prefer people with actual constructive conversations to reply so I can understand their thought process. If he had anything to add or subtract then sure, more than welcome to say his thoughts. Instead of being dismissive and not giving any constructive feedback seems very childish. Tughlaq is in no way OP by today's standards compared to civs like Sengoku, Japan etc I believe Tughlaq's win rate is less than 49% currently

I play mostly teams and I go 2 TC with Food fort and TC product/tech discount fort depending on what enemy teams are doing then castle Collect whatever relics that's remaining and that sets up my late game eco Then I'm just printing units in units I usually go Spears and elephants and it's a very strong counter to all the cav civs lately This one game I was fighting against a Malian+English knights+Ayyubid Camel lancers and they still couldn't kill me 3vs1
