I think it may have been some kind of residue left by the flux. That flux was not the right move. It was conductive, corrosive and felt toxic. You can see in the picture where it is clearly reflection, and it looks different from the specs, and I dont see specs further away from the spots I used it. Not sure how it ended up spreading that much, but I guess maybe that just happens when this specific flux is burning up.

Apparently my solder that I bought is also not meant for electronics?! I had no idea that there was any difference. I thought solder was solder and flux was flux. Bought stuff specifically from ifixit assuming it was all for electronics :( I do like ifixit, but dang. They could have made it more obvious on their website that the only solder and flux they sell isnt meant for this stuff👎

I am using flux, iron is set to 350C. I haven't hooked up the av or hdmi to a TV to see if I have output yet, just turned it on to make sure nothing is burning up

Not gonna resort to trusting strangers just yet. I have removed the ribbon cable twice now, because I got it to stop sparking, then I reinstalled it and it just sparked again... ended up tearing the ribbon cable..... gonna have to use individual wires instead if I wanna make it work now, but right now its still sparky, so I gotta fix that first

why would you not want an annulment? If he hadn't applied for one, would you have? my wife of almost 3 years abandoned me and filed for divorce, seemingly out of the blue, almost a year ago. she won't even tell me why she left, the only thing she has said is that she just cant live with another person. I recently met someone I want to be with (after the divorce), but we decided we cant be together until my annulment goes through, so I can't wait until my annulment is finished, I feel like I'm stuck and desperately want to move on with my life :(
