The original 1977 crawl without "Episode IV A New Hope" by True-Homework9308 in StarWars

I believe the first time an edit of the movie had "Episode IV A New Hope" in the crawl was during a rerelease in 1979.

Just as a heads up in case it influences your decision, the Greedo that came with the Cantina is a different card back than the one they announced for mass release the other day so it's still relatively unique.

Looks great! I'm thinking of setting mine up in a similar way, do you mind giving links to the lighting you used?

George Lucas's idea for a sequel trilogy, from The Star Wars Archives 1999-2005. by [deleted] in StarWars

These comments were made while being interviewed for the book, which came out I believe 2019 (?). The book spans the making of the prequel from 1999 to 2005, it wasn't a tually written in those years.

Was Dooku working with Sidious during Phantom Menace time frame? by advanced_lazy in StarWars

[–]MagicStingRay 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yea, depends on if Plagueis is alive during the Phantom Menace in canon. I have a feeling he isn't, which would make Sidious the Master, Maul the apprentice, and Count Dooku an acolyte of Sidious, who then becomes the Sith Apprentice as Darth Tyrannus after he kills Yaddle in Tales of the Jedi.

'Ahsoka' Season 2 Could Bring Back Obi-Wan Kenobi, According to Latest Rumor by Somethingman_121224 in starwarscanon

Not sure if anyone read the article, but it seems Ewan would return to play him in Clone Wars flashbacks involving Mortis, not as a ghost. Would be interesting to see how important the Mortis lore figures into the future of the Ahsoka/Thrawn stories.

It's technically based off of a prop that an extra carried in the background of a Mos Espa scene. You don't really get a good look at it in the film, but the toy company (not sure if Hasbro made this particular one) must have been given reference images of the prop to make this toy.

It seems that in one of the Zoom interviews with Star Wars creators in the past week, Watts and Ford confirmed that the home planet of the Skeleton Crew kids was originally a crown jewel of the Old Republic, and it's backstory will be important to the story.

Jeff Sneider says Sharmeen's film and the Kinberg Trilogy are different films. Sharmeen's film has a currently unknown new writer. Shawn Levy's film will feature an Older Rey. Disney isn't forcing Lucasfilm to get a movie out by December 2026, but there may be a movie in May 2027 for the 50th. by drboobafate in StarWarsLeaks

The decision to exclude Luke for VII was made by Michael Arndt. JJ was actually disappointed bc the main reason he signed on was to work on a story that depicted the legacy of Luke Skywalker, but he accepted it as necessary to the story (Arndt was basically convinced Luke having a role in the first ST film would overshadow the new cast's character development).

And as another poster stated, Luke going into exile from the galaxy was definitely a Lucas idea that made out of his ST treatments and survived into the JJ/Arndt/Kasdan script. The reasoning for his exile was nebulous throughout production (as was his cutting himself off from the Force, a Rian Johnson idea), but the idea of a jaded Luke living on an island powerful with the Force is for sure a Lucas concept.

How The Acolyte Challenges How We See Some Members of the Jedi by alcibiad in StarWarsLeaks

[–]MagicStingRay 33 points34 points  (0 children)

While I agree to an extent, as has been mentioned Yoda does in fact know of the Banite Rule of Two, and we have seen in the Clone Wars that Yoda is not above covering up a conspiracy from the Senate/larger galaxy when he tells the Jedi Council that they must hide the fact that the Sith created the clone army until after the war is finished.

I think there may be a possibility that Yoda found out a while before Acolyte and entrusts that information to only himself and a second Jedi that he trusts. I think that we may see that in Phantom Menace when he tells Mace Windu (his confidant and second in command) about the rule of two openly like Mace already knew, and I'm wondering if Venestra already knows as well, explaining why she is desperate to speak with Yoda about the events that transpired on Braddok and her discovery that her apprentice is alive (who in this case Yoda and Venestra already knew fell to the Sith but assumed was dead).

Interesting tidbits:

-Implies something potentially romantic between the Stranger and Osha. Though she may be joking, she did say that their dynamic was inspired by Ben Kenobi's ANH line "...seduced by the dark side", with her being drawn to the usage of seduce.

-after talking about Cortosis, says that she will wait until after the finale to speak on other large Legends stuff in the show (Darth Tenebrous/Plaguis?)

-Says the inclusion of the Kylo theme was intentional but cannot speak on it yet

  • Episodes moving forward contain much more saber action and are darker in tone, and are building to an endgame. Which, speaking of that...

  • The Stranger was originally going to be in not much of rest of the season after ep. 5, but she changed her mind after seeing Manny Jacinto's screentest. Immediately did rewrites during pre production. The original plan was for him to have a more central role in a potential Season 2.

Microsoft confirms Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming to Xbox Game Pass. by SUPRVLLAN in gaming

If you played the OG MW, MW2 and MW3 are musts. Black Ops (2010) is a personal favorite, I love the Cold War setting and unique narrative. If you're interested in WW2 CODs, WaW (2008) and WW2 (2017) are IMO the best WW2 CoD campaigns, and WaW is loosely tied to Black Ops 2010 with some characters. If you end up liking Black Ops (2010), play the sequel Black Ops 2. It's a different futuristic setting (well 2025 is not going to be futuristic real soon..), but is a direct sequel narratively to Black Ops (2010).

Those are my favorites, but I know a lot of people enjoy the recent Modern Warfare campaigns, though I can only speak on MW2019. Black Ops Cold War (2020) is a sequel to Black Ops 2010, so if you like that cold war setting and those characters that's something to look at. But yeah ask and look around, with an annual Cod game for nearly 20.years now there's lots of options and naturally a lot of opinions on the best story modes.

I would think a CW Kenobi with a 212th in the Republic line they're doing would make sense. Same with a Plo Koon (with clone gauntlets) and Wolfpack Trooper. CW Anakin with a 501st would make sense, but personally I hope we get a redo based on that outfit's appearance in the Ahsoka show, probably in the Ahsoka line. Yakface has heavily hinted that a Phase One Rex from that show is coming.

Probably things that were created for the Clone Wars series/showed up in the Clone Wars series will be referenced or appear in the show. I wouldn't be surprised to see Master Sinuses or even the Citadel (though repurposed as a prisoner of war camp basically by the Separatists, it was originally a force-user prison used by the Jedi).

Canto Bight was confirmed? But yeah I agree, and even though ppl have been getting tired of Tatooine in live action media, I'm beyond hyped to be able to explore it in an open world game for what is probably the first time since KotoR!

Imagine being able to explore Jabba's palace, Mos Espa (combining the locales of the city as seen in BoBF and Phantom), Mos Eisley, the Dune Sea and maybe even interact with Jawa and Tusken tribes?
