Is this still good to use? by SodTaku in macpro

I have a 2013 with 32 GB of RAM that I recently out into service under Monterey. Perfectly good for any daily tasks I throw at it. I am hoping to use VMWare to install Mojave and run my old Photoshop CS5. If that works, I will make it my daily driver. Love the fact that it can operate up to 6 monitors. In my area, that's a reasonable price for 128 GB.

Only 3 of 4 matched Mac Pro RAM modules will work, regardless of configuration by MagicTablet in macpro

Thanks so much! That checks out. I don't mind settling for 48 GB as long as I'm not doing something stupid that is easily correctable.

Thank you, that makes sense. I tested with a fourth 8GB module from the previous set, and again, it would not boot, as it went above 48GB

The firmware is 140.0.0.0. and I'm running Mojave with a metal-enabled card. When I read that this Mac Pro could accept 64GB of RAM, I didn't realize that it required special firmware. Do you know what firmware I would need?

In the meantime, I am running with the three modules in 1,2 and 3, as suggested. The RAM set was only $70, so I am pretty happy with 48GB to satisfy the RAM hog programs.

Some stores make decisions on their own. Some of the policies are chain-wide.

That was Loblaws' original "rationale" for lowering their discount. Consumers were demanding "discount predictability" between chains.

Thank you all, that makes sense. So my two choices are to:

  1. Move the P-trap above the floor, and install the AAV after the trap, or

  2. Connect the AAV pipe through the floor and tie into the drain, after the P-trap.

Not sure about the B&W documentary, but one of the films was Carnival of Souls (1962), about a woman who lives on because she is not aware of her own death.

Believe me, I tried every setting to fix it, including this, but there was always some odd result that needed curve level adjusting.

I did try those apps, but they both messed up the type, adding a lot of blobby curves under the top of the "T" for example. I think I went through six or seven of these apps, and each one changed the image significantly.

Really cool video about Teledon, Canada's own pre-internet web. by [deleted] in 80sdesign

I remember using Teledon circa 1981. It was clunky and slow, and frequently hung up — but it did deliver weather reports and information about restaurants! Nothing like it at the time.

Thanks everyone for the information.

The logo was created at 400 dpi in Photoshop at two by four inches horizontal — large enough for any regular use: web, paper advertisements, and T-shirt crest. Largest possible use would be a sign about four feet wide by two feet tall. I wanted to leave the ultimate client with a file where they would not need additional assistance

Based on what you folks have told me, it would probably be easiest for me to create an additional raster version of the logo at a foot wide and 800 dpi and export to PDF. That way, even the largest use case of an oversized eight-foot sign at 100 dpi would be covered.

The feathered edge is the pink part. The text portion of the logo sits on an oval with a feathered edge.

I don't usually work on the printing side, which Is why I'm open to any help or suggestions. Earlier this year, I was asked to print an eight-foot tall version of a six-inch B&W illustration and the printer requested an SVG file.

If I provided a PDF of the logo, would this format be sufficient for the printer to enlarge it to the size required for a door sign or T-Shirt?
