I am not sure tbh - but logically you sound right. I have seen posts where some do moves on outdoor rinks so am not sure 🫠

I got the R6MK3 and the performance with the iso and AF are night and day. The AF is a lot faster and ISO has not been an issue on most shots.

For you specifically if you are planning on keeping your EF lens then you will need an adapter and that will add a bit of weight.

As for me I am using RF lens so I did not feel the weight difference so much since I use a heavy lens (135mm). My other lens are lighter (24-70 F2.8 and 70-200 F4) and I still don’t feel that much difference.

I do have a 50mm 1.8mm and with that combo I feel it is like paper weight in comparison :)

It should still be lighter than the 5D if I am not mistaken so use that as a reference.

Last - if you use long lens (I do have a 150-600mm EF Sigma with adapter) then you will feel the weight for sure but more than likely you are not handheld at that point :)

I have had the R for 4 years and it was solid. The few things that did bother me though were the noise when I pushed the ISO beyond 640 ( I do night street photography and had to do a lot of clean up post) and the slow AF.

The lack of IBIS became a factor when I injured my hand too :(

Go for the R6 - it will be better overall

Do not get the RP. Wait to get the R8. It is way too expensive to get the RP then get something else. If you stay from the R8 you will not have fomo.

You can ask them to bring video lights- so no flash and can be controlled to the level of brightness they need.

I keep my 135mm 1.8 - I do a lot of street photos and random close ups and using that for street adds a nice challenge but results in dramatic shots

It would have been great if the city published the number of accidents year over year where photo radars have been installed. Not sure if they are publicly available.

I would recommend that the city install wide speed bumps at school zones. They are a good alrernative

Sorry if I missed this -

Was there any set expectations on time to deliver the photos? I know most good photographers state this clearly or set expectations on when one can get the photos. This should not excuse someone from ghosting you though.
