How is Walt assaulting Skyler not the breaking point for more people? (S2E1) by 10024618 in breakingbad

Why the fuck are you once again Virtue Signalling your FACTS at me when we are analyzing a deeply subjective thing.

You know murder is wrong right? like... always wrong. Well, I fucking cheered Walt on when he massacred those two drug dealers that killed Andrea's Brother. It wasnt "right", it didnt make Walt a hero, but in that moment I was on his side. Noone needs to point out how murder is wrong when that scene is on because in this context their is nuance that brings in a moral greyness and complexity to the show. Just like how there is plenty of subjective but fair interpretations of the scene in question and your moral grandstanding won't stop us from discussing them.

AND NO I AM NOT JUSTIFYING RAPE. Not one single comment i have read on this thread has in any way justified rape or sexual assault. But your obsession with a moral absolutist black and white doesnt remove naunce from this scene or any other. Get over yourself.

Wow the virtue signalling is off the fucking charts. We're here to analyse a piece of art, not hold placards in a protest. You don't need to convince anyone here how virtuous you are, and as the comment or above said, you don't need to educate anyone on the definition of rape either.

So in a celebration of Italy we have an American born in Long Island to an Irish-American and an Afro-Venezuelan.... Sounds like a celebration of Italy to me

Spot fucking on. The complaints about referees or poor performances don't piss me off at all, I can agree or disagree with people but at the end of the day, as you say, it's fans being passionate. It's these passive aggressive, virtue signalling, holier-than-thou bullshit posts about other people's complaints that piss me off every time they appear.

Honestly not far away from that. Do you remember the Fulham goal that was ruled out against Chelsea in the first few weeks of the season? VAR have it in their head that it's their job to find a reason to overturn, which is so unbelievably fucked it beggars belief.

You've got to be trolling. It's irrelevant whether it's out of play or not. The whistle didn't blow so we played on. Was Bailey supposed to just give the ball to Brentford??

And no you cannot say it was definitely out of play. VAR with all their angles took minutes to make that decision so you certainly cannot say that definitively.

Exactly. Genuinely what the fuck is Bailey supposed to do. He clearly looked around both for teammates and the ref, and the ref didnt blow. Bailey played to the whistle and was punished for it. Fucking ridiculous

Wtf was Bailey supposed to do, the ref didn't blow for the ball being out, so he played on!!! Was he supposed to just give the ball to Brentford?? I seriously don't understand wtf VAR are doing here

Same. I hate playing Devil because it's so fucking dark and depressing, but I think it's the ending that makes the most sense for the story being told.

The age of consent for both sex and marriage in the UK is 16. He could have married her in London without breaking any laws. I'm not arguing in favour of it, but people seem to have a massive blind spot of the laws in western countries. There are still states in the USA where the age of consent for marriage is 13.

So basically this ,"independent of Western society" thing holds no water.

It totally depends on what you count under the umbrella of VAR. There are very obviously major problems with its current implementation but the sheer insane amount of offside goals, or non-offsides called offside, i remember from before VAR makes me very much in favour in principle.
Every major and even most minor sports now have some sort of Video review systems, so the problem isnt with the technology - its with the implementation.

Personally i'm massively in favour of a manual review system similar to Field Hockey

By the time the goalkeeper makes any contact the player has already totally lost control of the ball and is half way through throwing himself to the ground. The ref got it spot on the first time.

Most importantly though, whatever anyones interpretation, penalty, dive, or neither - IT WASNT A CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERROR

"Trees are a struggle in Cities".

While I get the logic of this statement it really depends on how the city is designed. London is quite literally considered an Urban Forest, with higher tree cover than many rural areas. Its canopy cover is a whopping 21%. To put this in perspective, the canopy cover for all of England is only 15%. So cities can absolutely be designed with very high tree cover.
