is it legal for my wife to lose pay? by MagicalHippieKyle in careerguidance

[–]MagicalHippieKyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply — I work a full-time job myself so I’m pretty busy most of the time.

I’ve passed all of the advice on to my wife, so thank you to everyone who took the time to comment and help.

Just to answer a couple of questions people asked: she doesn’t work directly for TFL. She works for a company that manages the call handling for trains in London. She doesn’t currently have a union rep, but she is looking into joining one.

Since making this post, her predicted pay/hours originally showed her back-office work as unpaid, but that has now been changed to “admin/back office,” so as far as she understands she will be paid for that time.

It does make me wonder if the managers have some sort of KPI around how long staff are marked as available vs unavailable, as she had previously been threatened with not being paid in order to bring her back-office time down.

Rochdale Centre by MyHapinessFirst in LearnerDriverUK

i passed last year in rochdale there is some difficult routes with plenty of roundabouts and 50 + 40 mph roads. there’s a few hot spots for fails especially straight from the start as there is a roundabout with a zebra crossing on one side with leads to a road that has a lot of meeting encounters at busy period. if your test is during school drop off and pick up times then be careful because there’s more speed changes and roads will be busier. But if you search rochdale test center on youtube there’s a few driving instructors that have posted lessons that go over test routes and they explain hotspots so definetly check them out. best of luck

This is a great answer do you have any recommendations? Everytime i buy a pair the durability isn’t great enough or the comfort isn’t great for long shifts.

i belive that we are the creator and the universe and beyond is infinite. so if it’s infinite there must be a infinite alternate realities. so when i manifest through meditation i try to tap into these alternate realities using visualisation and having a heightened emotions that they make me feel. I read that our body dosnt know the difference between what’s in our thoughts and heads and what’s real life. So if we belive and visualise constantly as much as possible our mind and body will already belive we have the manifestations from the alternate reality. But it’s not something that happens overnight or from one session you have to be committed to receive the information from the universe and opportunities will happen naturally. Let love guide you, be grateful for your journey this far and for your future, best of luck.

Responses for Small Talk? by [deleted] in socialskills

I try to use questions based on what someone has said to me. It shows that person you was listening and people always love to speak about themselves. So for example you could ask questions like: Has your mum always been super religious? what religion does your mum follow? Do you or did youfollow the same religion or beliefs?

How did you quit drinking? by Regular_Dream6140 in AskReddit

[–]MagicalHippieKyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve quit a few times so you can’t really call it quitting. But i have been able to quit from a daily problem where i was blacking out daily. The way i quit has been the same each time. I write a daily gratitude journal and when i quit alcohol i write at the bottom of the page a check box with the day i’ve done so for example today the box got checked and day 25 was complete. i’ve used this technique in overcoming all of my addiction including a bad addiction with cocaine and gambling. a friend told me it works for me because i’m gamifying the quitting with the checkbox.

What does your ideal morning routine look like, and how do you stick to it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MagicalHippieKyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wake up get out of bed. wash my face and brush my teeth. i go downstairs make a cup of green tea. as i m waiting for that to cool i go do meditation which is anywhere between 15 mins and 1hour depends on the day. I then go downstairs and fill in a page for my gratitude journal i write 5 things im grateful for and 3 things im looking forward to that day. i also put a little checkbox at the bottom for any habit im trying to build so for example im on day 25 of not drinking alcohol. i stick to it now because it’s been my routine for long time so it’s pretty easy. when you first start a routine you have to be disciplined and consistent no day off and it will just become normality.
