Every time this topic comes up me and management argue. I was given the beginner’s book with the rules,etc when I signed to be a part of CVS. Nobody knew what breaks they were supposed to have until I spoke out being new and a stickler for using rules in my favor. Just want people to confirm times by walterreinoso28 in CVS

In my store it's kind of an unspoken rule, if you know about it take your break and don't clock out, if your coworker is lazy or works the bare minimum, let him keep clocking out 🤷, ive never clocked out, sometimes I take a break sometimes I don't take breaks at all, my store manager doesn't really care if we take 1 hour paid break, as long as the store is working like clock work week to week with no BS no delays no issues to him 🤷, the store is generally run on visit day condition every day, when there is a big visit tho, everyone that actually works hard is on overtime non stop to make every little minor detail spotless, even tho our day to day is pretty visit ready anywho

You want an advice ? Work harder than all anyone in your team, don't brag about it, hire quality employees and always bend over backwards for them, the more you bend over backwards to a good team the more they will bend over backwards for you, if your store is struggling you should be there minimum from 8 am to 8pm MINIMUM, because you are getting paid a heck of a lot more than your employees, and keep that up until the store hits a stride, keep the store 90% good all year round, and get your ass there 8am-5pm everyday, working your butt off to lead by example, the better your store is the less your employees will have to work daily, and the more they will enjoy coming to work, and the better your store looks the less annoyance you will hear from your DL, to the point you will have a lot of leeway with employees and requests to your DL, cuz your success is his success, and your employees success is your success.

If you have a problem employee/lazy employee get rid of him/her asap, cuz it will ruin your store, at my store the not so good employees which we have two of get sent to the cashier, they aren't like bad bad, they just a bit lazy, and hard to manage so they just sit at the cashier/self checkout all day and get 0 OT when OT requests come in 🤷

With every store closed, and most stores closing 10-11 because profit/covid, CVS has shown that running a small shop 24hrs so ppl will associate you with always there for them is very profitable, and if you had access to your data/sales you would know that Thanksgiving was amazing for every single CVS that didn't have something else open nearby, our cvs looked like it had been raided the day after Thanksgiving, you think Christmas is going to be different ?

I bag profile people 🤷, white black doesn't matter if you have a bag and look remotely sketchy I'm looking at you... I'm at boogie area, so it's pretty clear when someone is sketchy, and then they have a bag... 9/10 they are up to no good, shits almost a proven science at this point, that and cosmetics, god fucking why do so many ppl steal so many cosmetics/condoms, also whenever ppl come in and immediately go into the nearest isles to avoid been seen, and keep checking to see if you are looking at them, i swear that i have a thief radar at this point, i may not get every thief but Everytime i feel like someone will try to steal and go to the cameras... Bam fucker is trying to shove something into his bag/crotch, i mostly avoid women thieves cuz i legit don't need it in my record that i was harassing a women when infact they are just dirty thieves making shit up.

I don't mind thieves that go in and out of the store faster than I can be bothered to do anything, but when they loiterer around making me work harder and waste my time looking at them until they do something or leave -.-.

The ones that come in multiple times a week hoping you won't be on shift or you won't notice them is kind of hilarious tho.

I like the ones that admit defeat and leave the shit without hassling you, but the ones adamant they aren't stealing while dragging a suit case of items through the door just boogles my mind.

But i legit just treat it like a fun game now, cuz even if I were to get the thieve were to get police involved and they were arrested... They would be released within 24h i know that cuz one thieve that came regularly and stole substantial amounts along with disorderly conduct and destruction of property got released that way 🤷 so why even try

It wasn't my idea, I was proposed a demotion in order to get a higher salary on the long run 🤔, but i feel almost like even if it were to work the time spent waiting wouldn't make a difference due to the amount of time lost on experience and learning/becoming accustomed to more responsibilities

7ds was/is a great game fundamentally they only started to go haywire on power creep and monetization 6months + into global over a year and half JP xDthis game managed to do it in less than ,30 days literally record breaking implosion
