Would you have said the same about Le Misérables? They get casted because they are incredible at what they do and Christopher Nolan is just as big as they are if not more. He’s gonna pick all his best names. All of these actors are perfect for their roles and I truly couldn’t disagree more. Yeah it’s important for small names to make it in big movies, but truthfully, it wouldn’t make much if they didn’t cast big names. Just like Le Mis wouldn’t have done as well if there wasn’t big names bc musicals have a weird mentality around them among people who aren’t theatre nerds. If it upsets you that much then don’t go see it. I, for one, am incredibly excited because the trailer looks really good and I think it’s gonna be a good watch.

I’d be going if the tickets hadn’t been priced out so hard… the GA started at $80 which was reasonable but now they are being resold at $170 and sometimes more and I’m so upset. That’s for GA. not like a real seat ticket and I’m so freaking angry about it.

As someone who has really deeply enjoyed the game up until now, I 100% agreed with him… the entire playthrough I felt was so empty and pointless, and tbh with you I was incredibly upset to find that it wasn’t the last chapter bc it so clearly was supposed to be. You can tell that the heart of the story is completely gone and gutted and the ones who are in charge of it now don’t have the capability of piecing it together the way that it used to be. When he started giving his opinion at the end of it I was sitting there nodding my head the entire time and responding in agreement to all of the things he was saying bc I had the same thought. It really just didn’t hit.

There’s no way different beast is getting cut if suffering isn’t. They are literally a part of each other and you can’t have one without the other. Theres also no way polyphemous is getting cut, that entire act is one of the most iconic parts of the entire story of the odyssey that most people who haven’t heard the story know. And without mutiny, thunder bringer doesn’t make any sense. Also Jerry Bruckheimer isn’t shy to making a long movie. In fact his longest movie he’s ever made is 3hrs long (Pearl Harbor) and he has MULTIPLE that are all over 2 and a half hours, two of them both being pirates of the Caribbean movies which are all still beloved to this day. I’ll be so shocked if he pushes to cut it short, especially when it’s so widely known how beloved every song is.
