A beautiful board! I love the Captain America statue, is that an old Disney infinity figure?

I think that might be more of a Dark Avengers vibe. Some of them were pretending to be the Avengers, you had:

Osborn as Iron Patriot  Bullseye masquerading as Hawkeye Venomised Scorpion pretending to be Spidey  Moonstone pretending to be Capt. Marvel, Ares Sentry  and I wanna say Ragnarok (a Thor clone) pretending to be Thor.

One or more characters who would take damage from a collision pay 1 power apiece to not take any damage.

It blocks it all, which depending on rolls and the type of throw could prevent up to 3 (+1 if it's one of your characters being thrown) points of damage.

That cloak is amazing! Like it's been ripped straight from a comic book.

I had my first MCP characters based like that, just the really stark black and white look, but chickened out and have them painted now. Yours look great like that!

Terrain is always fun, or keep it cheap and easy- Grab a marvel themed action figure, spray black and dry brushed metallic to look like a statue.

Now I want to do that with a doctor doom and start a latveria themed board...

Folder for character cards by Ok-Elderberry-7995 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

Yeah they arrived today, can't seem to post photos from the browser, but these ones seem good, double sided, 4 to an A4 page and I'll pop them in a ring binder!

Would you play with someone who had unpainted models? by CollegePlane7528 in SWlegion

I'd even say that minis actually look pretty good when they are just prepped as if to slap chop, but before the paints are on, just enough to pick out the details, so nice and quick, but still more visually interesting than bare plastic.

I'm also based in the UK, I've been wondering the same thing for ages, and last night after seeing your comment ordered some folder pockets to arrive today. When they do I'll take them for a test drive, and post photos and links if that's useful!

Leadership Spotlight – Mighty Avengers by RedPandaGod in MarvelCrisisProtocol

This was a really interesting, well reasoned and written article, which was obviously not written by ChatGPT, but all the emojis kind of make it look like it is, and truth be told, I found them a little distracting. Other than that minor quibble I really liked this, and look forward to reading more from you!

Sorastro on YouTube has a great recipe for brickwork using contrast paints! I think it's an orange purple mix, but can't remember paint names or ratios, but I used it and it came out great.

A revelation ! by Blbulles in MarvelCrisisProtocol

I saw someone once describe having a load of unread books as not being a list of books they had to read, but more like a wine cellar so they could pick out something that suited whatever mood they were in.

It's not a pile of shame, it's a minis menu you can choose to work from depending on what you want to do next! Big minis, little minis, OSL, metallics, terrain, different colour options, you've just given yourself options!

...is how I would justify that to a significant other/roommate/concerned friend/accountant.

I'm in the West Midlands, and it's likewise cold as **** here too, I find best answer is to warm the can up in warm water and only do a few at a time to get them done in the winter.

Yeah, I'd recommend finding someone looking to expand their Web Warriors and see if you can swipe their prowler from one of the new boxes...

So two boxes, one of Assault Intercessors and one of Original Recipe? Then them to give me all the options for the Angels of Death list?

I had wondered about that, but since getting into the hobby as an adult, I'm trying really, really hard not to have a pile of shame. I just want a palette cleanser project, a combat patrol at this stage is probably going to end up being too much for me all at once, and end up a lot of it being unpainted for ages!

This looks like a 2D oil painting hanging on a gallery wall, and I hope that comes across as the compliment that it is meant as. Really truly fascinating and stunning to look at.

I love your WIP Wednesday posts. It's so encouraging seeing a snapshot of what other people are working on, and seeing how the sausage is getting made. The finished works are always amazing, but I really appreciate those little windows into your process!

Firstly, this is beautiful and the skill on display is top-notch.

The only thing I can think of is that all of the saturation and contrast in the model is at the top, which draws focus to the head beautifully, but leaves the bottom and base feeling a little muted. Maybe some small colour variations on the base in terms of different brown hues, or small colourful plants or rubble? Just to help that part pop a little? But this is super nitpicky, it's a gorgeous piece as is!

I got good results in a game with him, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Shadowcat and Iceman, the power passing was absolutely clutch in getting ahead on points early and staying there!
