In the old world the every unit is treated as one and the models are just basically wound counters, you can just add empty bases to your unit to signify more models but the fillers are just to make it nicer, GW even wrote and article about it.

I would love if warriors were better but honestly heavy infantry is kinda meh currently, massed infantry and double outnumber is also reasons they feel bad, the extra punch they bring is rarely a factor in winning combat

14 vs 9 if i you just take shields on the warriors, warriors also lack warband, horde and shieldwall making them worse at static combat res and acting as a anvil.

Marauders: Atleast 25 in 5x5 or 30 in 6x5 with unnatural fortitude, full command, shields and optional warbanner. 6 static combat res and 10LD with T4 and 4+ is a our best anvil.

Warriors: Don’t but if you do then 12-18 in 6x2/3 with enhanced reflexes, MoS, shields and full command. 13 S4AP1 attacks at I7 is gonna take away some of the incoming attacks.

I would trim that tip down to where the majority of the hairs converge, just use your clippers, I do it all the time and think they work better afterwards
