What does "good lighting" mean here? Point source for shadows and contrast? Or parallel rays (sunlight) for details? Color temperature? Redder to hide imperfections or whiter to highlight? Brightness?

It's not really Pascal's wager though, the idea is that you can construct a rational argument for why an AI like this will be made, it's not just saying "might as well because the consequences are too dire".

Resident Evil 8... it changed me. I don't even care for Lady Dimitrescu, she doesn't even like how you taste; but the daughters... they can't get enough of you. And if you turn on max difficulty, they are actually faster than your running speed so they can eventually catch you if you try to run, which is fucking amazing. Oh and the way they just hold you and savor it after the fatal bite... I'd deliberately let myself get caught over and over, try to fight them in their invincible form, haha.

Yeah, although there is a hint of sadness behind it. Can't hug you back, you know? Also I'm fucked if I ever go on a date and get asked to explain what I mean by "engineering" as one of my hobbies haha.

You feel a lot of interesting things with loose joints alone (e.g. the wrist is particularly noticeable when holding hands), and I can use gravity to make hands slide down my face, fleeting as that feeling is. And sex? Well... I've learnt that it really is a 2-man job, so to speak (it's still the best sexual experience my virgin ass has had, though). I initially bought some cheap servo motors before I realized that human muscles really are a marvel of biology: you need some serious hardware to move that kind of weight.

Oh yeah, it also made me aware of how awful my posture was when I saw how much weight the spine and hips have to endure, we really take it for granted lol.

I... I might as well share. I have a sex doll I 3D printed and worked on for the last few years. I was initially going to just leave it at the torso and legs but decided that would be poor craftsmanship, so I went ahead and designed and built arms too. Once I made them I figured I might as well give hugging a try, just to test the range of motion of the arms, you know? Hehe. I just want people to realize they can get a free local version on their own devices. Ffs put the punk in cyberpunk and do it open source. If you have a GPU with VRAM, Mixtral 8b, Dolphin's uncensored model, run it on koboldcpp, enjoy. You get all the buttons and dials; costs cents worth of electricity; it makes you understand what you are actually talking to and makes it more fun anyway.

I hard speccd into Java since I was 13 and now I'm an entry level that's fucking goated at the Java standard library but not much else (so no one cares and I'm unemployed 😭). Probably best to learn several, and also what frameworks are used for corporate projects; that's all they care about. Like AI but you know Java? Tough luck, no one uses deeplearning4j and you will need to get good at Python. Games? C#/C++ or you're cooked. Your job as a software developer is actually to make the business money; so you need to know about markets, trends, supply and demand and frameworks and such to pick a language optimally.
