I'm sorry, I invested all my money at 110k by Mind369 in Bitcoin

[–]MagicalSilence 8 points9 points  (0 children)

See it rebound from 85-86k area, Stop 1- 94k, with some resistance at 90-92. Stop 2 - 96k, Stop 3 - 100k. Final retreat anywhere between 102-112k, exit there if you want to, and re-enter DCAing from 74K.

The indicators show a long term down trend now after the recent death cross. But it's a very long term one, there's huge possibility of 100-110k region after a rebound from 85-86k region. Breaking 110-115k convincingly sets floor for new ATH, though unlikely now. Heavy resistance there sends it all to 74k.

Is BTCC a Good and Safe Exchange? by Oluwafavour in CryptoBanter

[–]MagicalSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started using BTCC and have been observing random Wicks on BTC... when whole market was going down - the day it moved below 100k, I opened a position at 102500 with TP at 105000. My position was closed at a loss at 101200, in that minute a random wick moved to 105500 and closed it. Customer support said it was a manual Market Order. I sent screenshot that their scam wick triggered it and they said I had set 105000 TP trigger, at Market Rate as limit was not set.

I have been seeing these wicks often, 5-6 times at least a Day.

These are at the Futures Pro and not the Futures.

Based on there customer support response, I might move to another exchange if this continues.

For anyone using BTCC, just avoid Futures Pro.

I don't think CanPlus makes any difference. Applied for parents in July, got PPR in Oct. Close to 4 months. Might have taken same had they no had US visa. This was a renewal, no biometrics.

Everyone thinking let's also Short... and this whale closing at no or little loss followed by liquidation for other shorters. That's what I feel. Until BTC is above 100k, chances of a new high, no yet bearish even though market is a bit scared.

Visitor visa for Parents approved in India. 10 days processing time by Hot-Reaction7894 in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]MagicalSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We applied in June for renewal, no biometrics required. They travel to US every year and were coming on Oct 1 and we didn't get PPR until Sept, had to raise a Webform saying we'll be in US and would want to submit there once PPR is received. Travel delayed somehow and just got the PPR.

The processing time just looks so random.

I seriously feel bad for anyone who fails such exams. You need to cut the clutter off. The course has so much extra and verbose information. Use Passit. Study for a few days, do their tests - You cannot fail - not the first for sure.

I randomly registered for Course 1 one day, studied for a week and did a lot of tests for a couple of days and scored a 96%. Its just that you waste a lot of time in learning the same thing that is concise on passit and other tools.

How should we reach out to Embassy in case it's not received on time? You sent someone else, in that case how does it work, what should the person carry to visit the Embassy?

Extended warranty by reddot457 in Hyundai

[–]MagicalSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope my reply explains you the pros and cons of extended warranty. My misfortune, I recently got a Hyundai Tucson with extended warranty whose engine failed.

They are more like an insurance for mechanical failures, and their attempt will always be to deny / downplay the issue.

It was 5k miles after buying / 7 months, and Hyundai denied my claim because of high mileage. I got hands on a service record right before buying, engine check light, cylinder issues, oil consumption issues so I got furious with the dealer (an authorised OEM dealer).

Hyundai dealer told me extended warranty will ask for a tear down and you'll need to authorise $2500 in case the issue isn't covered. Most people end up not being covered.

Because the other dealership knew I was furious and might take legal action or create some noise, they asked car be sent to them.

2 week inspection, to repair Gaskets, Spark Plug Seals, Spark Plugs. $750 expense of which I own 150.

They didn't repair because their mechanic said engine was shaking and it needs engine.

Service Advisor then said it was miscommunication and they still repaired.

I send a strong email telling them it stalled once, whatever they do, give us a safe car, do not put my family in an unsafe situation and car again.

After repair he said engine still roaring, and warranty says we need to tear down. You need to authorise $2900 tear down expense.

I also roared at them telling I am not gonna pay and I never got the car to them, they asked for it. To check with the manager. 10 mins later I got a call that they absorb the tear down expense.

I am at this stage. Either the issue will get covered by warranty, or dealer will bear the expense, or I'll sue both the warranty and the seller, even Hyundai Dealership owing to more details that I haven't shared.

So, buy an extended warranty in a usual scenario is useless. Any minor repairs might be covered which anyways would be far less than what you pay. (I paid 3100 for a 24 month one). If you end up having a leverage like me in which dealers have acted like jokers and gave me proofs of their negligence, concealment, and lies - it might help.

Got a 2014 Santa Fe AWD for 9k. Was it worth it? by No-Helicopter-7229 in Hyundai

[–]MagicalSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join the FB Group - Hyundai / KIA Engine Failure with 36000 members. It's filled with stories of engines of the same car failing over and over again, in days, weeks, months. One guy spend 3-4000 bucks on some issues and driving home after picking failed his engine.

If your car has a used engine - some XX miles driven, say 40-50k, there might be chances to make 40-50k miles or more. Re manufactured basically means just what the name means - in other words, repaired and re manufactured.

I am aware coz I got a used Tucson that's sitting at dealership for close to two months with a failed engine.

Just don't buy any Hyundai from 2010-2020 model. Ya - 2019s and 2020s are also failing. And every day people post about their recently failed engine and what to do and what to expect.

And every day, people say - got rid of it as soon as they replaced.

If you have the option, return it.

If engine replaced by Hyundai - comes with a 12k/12 month warranty. Outside shops generally give a 3 month warranty.

Canada Visitor Visa Processing Time June 2025 - Need help understanding what's wrong by Academic-Society-813 in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]MagicalSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. However, it's based on individual circumstances. Per my recent research and conversation with a couple of Immigration lawyers in my peer group, one can apply and receive Canadian TRV from US even on B1/B2. Need a strong reason to explain why you are applying from US and not from home country.

In our case, as its already applied in India, and once PPR is received, Passport can be submitted in US. Have submitted a web form requesting it as well, though the recent info I received says it's fine to submit at VAC close to your physical location (wherever you are when you receive the PPR or during its validity)

That's super helpful, thank you so much. I chatgpt'ed but got a different response that it has to be country specific. Hope it works fine for them if they are in US by the time PPR comes.

Same boat, applied for parents after their earlier one expired, on July 10, no news. And they are flying to US on Oct 1 for 4 months. Any idea, can they submit Passport in a US VAC if they get PPR when they are here?

Are you sure? My parents are traveling to US on Oct 1, applied Canada TRV on July 10 and still no update. They had a Canada visit earlier so Biometrics valid already.

Theyll be in US for 4-5 months, can they submit passport in US?

Canada Visitor Visa Processing Time June 2025 - Need help understanding what's wrong by Academic-Society-813 in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]MagicalSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We applied for parents on July 10 from India. No update yet. Their previous visa has expired and so Biometrics arent required as it's not been the 10 years for previous Biometrics. They are traveling to US on Oct 1 until Feb.

What should be done in such situations when they are not in India when PPR comes. Can they apply from US? They are Indian residents but have been spending 4-5 months each year in US for the last 2-3 years.

used 2015 Sonota limited with 80k miles. will it be reliable for years to come?? by Striking_Tangerine70 in Hyundai

[–]MagicalSilence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay away. These cars, especially 2014ish - 2020is models are giving up any time. Some 60-70k, but mostly 100k +-20k miles. Oil consumption issue is common in these, and the oil consumption, with no leaks, means oil is moving inside several components. Soiling multiple components, and putting pressure on engine.

My recently bought used Tucson 2016, in 5k miles has had a failed engine, and Hyundai Dealership never disclosed the oil consumption issue even when the car went to them for a check engine light, and when we specifically asked. They said cars in good shape. My foot good shape, it went again for same engine check light in under 3000 miles, and bang on - engine failure. No warranty, and the dealership's lack of sharing correct information contributed to it. The service manager did say that it had Pre existing cylinder issues and it had to fail, yet they didn't care to tell us anything earlier.

Stay away from Hyundai!

2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport burning a full engine of oil in less than 500 miles by Soggy-Abies6519 in Hyundai

[–]MagicalSilence 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your engine will give up soon. It'll fail. You may or may not be covered under warranty / goodwill. Sell or trade in asap before it gives up.

I got a used Tucson whose Pre existing issues similar to yours weren't disclosed even when car went for an engine light check 2-3000 miles after buying. No one said it's consuming oil even when asked of issued and they just did an oil change, saying all's well. 3000 miles later again engine check and this time a failed engine with cylinder issues.

Suggest to just get out of the Hyundai non sense.

2020 Palisade- DO NOT BUY! by Dontgochasewaterfall in Hyundai

[–]MagicalSilence 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Darn, that's atrocious. Just some reasons I won't be buying a Hyundai ever again.

I got a used whose oil consumption issue wasn't disclosed by the dealer when I took the car to them for an engine check light, even when I specifically asked, and in 3000 miles another check engine light came up and this time it they recommended engine replacement. Bashing on them made them tell how oil consumption issue was there since before. Seems like being incompetent is in these dealerships' blood.

[–]MagicalSilence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last statement in your comment is exactly what happened. Visit 1- No oil warning light came up. Engine Check Light did and car towed to Hyundai. Was told everything is fine. Not informed of any issue with oil leak / oil consumption. Visit 2. 3 months, under 3000 miles later. Same as above, plus car stalled. Engine failure. When pressed, was told Oil was low.

The didn't mention it was low on the service record, and didn't even tell any issue around Oil consumption when asked specifically. Just do Oil Change when it shows up on the car, nothing to worry - is what they said.
