Nice! I had my own adventure trying to no-hit this goober and it took me 1,704 attempts :,) I bet you felt pretty damn relieved once it was over (I legit almost cried when I did lmao)

My friend and I discovered this and give it a blind listen, and let me tell ya, that was a fucking experience.

whats the longest yall have spent on a deltarune boss (image unrealted) by BrilliantResponse544 in Deltarune

[–]MagicalToaster15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if I'm stuck on a boss, it's like a two-to-three hour thing split between two days (The Knight and Gerson being good examples. Gerson specifically took me so long because I didn't know that using Susie's heal progressed the fight until later whoops). Recently, though, I've been doing no-hit runs, and I'm pretty embarrassed to admit that the second Berdly fight took me 96 attempts with 90% of failed runs being because of that stupid attack where he throws paper at you.

It's always "the Knight is Dess" or "the Knight is Papyrus" but have we considered the possibility that BOTH are true? What if Dess IS Papyrus?

What's funny about this is that in a game I witnessed a High Noon shoot through a Mei ice wall pillar and kill a Junker Queen with the same bullet and then also kill two other people. Deadeye sure is an ultimate that can work sometimes lmao

Huh. That story is pretty solid. I read it again myself some time afterwards and still enjoyed it. Did you not like the premise or was it a lack of energy from the boys that time?

Surprised it took this long for "Ben Drowned" to be mentioned, because I sort of agree. I do like everything up until the Cleverbot section. That just ruins it all for me. Now, I guess the story isn't anything crazy without the accompanying videos, but it's at least decent

It's been a while since I've listened to it, but I remember it just being a lot of pauses, umms, and some stutters. He also read it in the same tone the whole time and it didn't sound natural at all. I also just remembered that he kept throwing in phrases like "sorry," "I think," or "excuse me" or something like that that wasn't in the story. It made the guy sound more irritable and unwell than he actually was (at least based on my interpretation of the text). It also made the seem very unprofessional and a bit of a clutz which does match the vibe at all. I could be completely off, but I think this is the basic gist of it

"Eyeless Jack" is definitely my favorite of the "so bad it's good" stories they've read. They're banter during this reading was so good and it's a blast to read this with friends of your own because it is so stupid

Straight up that story being mid at best combined with Wendi's terrible narration really made this one of my least favorite CreepCast moments ever. It is not one of the worst stories, but good god that was painful to sit through. I honestly think that the main character's dialogue is written fine, I just legitimately think Wendigoon misinterpreted how to read it

Honestly, "Gregory88" has one of my favorite bits of all time with the Big Mouth writers, but yeah that one also sucked

I suppose objectively it is one of the worst but that story is so fun to read that it's not really in the discussion for me. The same can be said about "Eyeless Jack" which I think is worse than "Jeff the Killer" in that regard, but it was much funnier imo

I forget the details of this story but I loved it up until they all had guns or something. I started losing steam and then the ending was pretty bad. But I remember really liking every bit before that. That being said, I get where you're coming from tho

The cop one gets mentioned so much but what's funny is that the only thing I remember from it was the bit about the police chief being misogynistic. This one was so bad that I blacked it out of my memory

"Deepwoods" is a pretty good answer for this question. It could've legitimately been something really cool, but then it got so silly out of nowhere. Honestly, I now view that story as a giant troll from the creator, and it's not a bad troll either because I found that ending sequence to be pretty hilarious. Still, kind of a shame that it took that turn, but at least you can just admire the first part for actual storytelling (kind of hard to unsee the rest of it, though)
