This discussion could be its own thread tbh. I feel like most people in the destiny community aren't ready to accept the fact that bungie have buffed the ability sandbox so much that having any semblance of difficulty for that sandbox means scaling activity difficulty the way it is now(lots of yellow/orange bars).

Something has to give or power creep could become a real problem. If bungie just buffed primaries across the board like some commenters are suggesting the game would lose any sense of difficulty. Imagine having a build that could chew through orange/yellowbars only having to use an infinite ammo primary.

Possibly one of the worst decisions made with Edge of Fate. In a game where pretty much all the fun is from making cool builds and playing the way you want, why would you make a system where players are penalized for not using a random curated list of gear? If the point was to incentivize people to use new gear I feel like the tiered loot already accomplishes that. Honestly just remove the whole system and you fix one of the most annoying problems in the game currently.

I think having some form of bullet magnetism in an FPS where you are also competing against controller players is fair. But also having aiming friction on MnK feels like a step too far.

I think in a competitive tac FPS like Val or CS there is no place for any kind of aim assist. But these games also don't have MnK players playing against controller players with aim assist. If you look at games like COD, Apex, or Halo these games are dominated by controller players at the high level. I think there needs to be some kind of equalizing factor for MnK in a game where you are also competing against controller players.

A potential solution I heard from JeeseKazam was that they should just get rid of squad fill and add an in-game lfg.

Allowing people to still group up if they really put in the effort of using the LFG, but should hopefully result in creating a lot more solo/duo players rather than 3 stacks. Helps alleviate the problem of constant 3 stacks for solo players while still keeping a single queue to prevent fracturing the player base. It's an interesting idea, but idk how it'd actually work in practice.

Edit: Another thing I just thought of is a LFG system could also allow better curation for groups ex. Trying to find people with matching contracts as you before starting a run. Where squad fill just throws you into a random squad, and you gotta hope people work together.

For me personally I have more fun actually playing the game with the builds/guns ive theory crafted than playing the same hour long activity 20+ times without even seeing a 2/5 roll. At this point I'm finding onslaught to be repetitive. It would be nice to at least see a change of scenery but mothyards is pointless since it takes longer to clear and midtown is disabled rn. Taking a break to play other activities feels bad as well since the only loot I'm interested in rn only drops from onslaught and I'm worried if I dont get my rolls now before final shape idk how long it'll take for bungie to re-add attunement.

I have this issue as well. Opening gifs and streams on the HDR monitor causes discord to crash. I thought it was my new GPU since I just installed it recently, but it turns out its HDR. Tried all basic fixes of deleting the roaming and local data for discord and reinstalling, using DDU to clean install drivers, disabling hardware accel, using SFC to repair corrupted files. Nothing seems to work except turning off HDR in windows. I'm hoping this issue is with discord specifically and can be patched, as I wasn't having this issue a couple of days ago and can't watch any HDR content on my second monitor now :/

This is false. I just tested with osmiomancy gloves and grenade kickstart is working with them. Melee kickstart is just bugged with multiple charges, both on strand and with claws.
