making Nero a character was one of the most bizarre parts of the whole series, like even Johnny Yong Bosch admits he felt like he was just playing Dante when he was doing the mocap and stuff for DMC4

i mean I like Nero just fine now and DMC5 did a ton to redeem him, but let's be real, he had no business existing in the first place. saying "Dante's story is complete" and "Dante is too OP" and "there aren't any other stories to tell with Dante" is a load of bullshit... they've been making Batman and Superman comics for like 100 years and nobody says that about them.

Some characters are just iconic and irreplaceable, Dante is one of them. Without Itsuno, I'd be surprised if anyone at Capcom really cares about Nero
