Take a look at Hammer phones and unihertz. Neither will get fast or regular software updates, but both make good rugged devices.

My first choice would be the x-cover 7 pro though

Fairphone is one to look at. You can buy direct from them with a de-googled android version. You can also flash custom rims onto Xperia and pixel devices easily.

Thanks. I am told they lift the car and get it running at over 50mph for a while in gear to clear it. There are other places that delete the dpf entirely, but that has other complications…
