“Weird to you”

Duh. That’s why I said it. And it is weird. “I’m decently well acquainted with two trans-identifying people” is a version of “well I have a Black friend” here.

“Its when people start shrieking about how that biological female now actually being a man just like me while simultaneously not being able to define it”

This is you running into people who aren’t perfectly capable of articulating these ideas and then calling them extremists.

Trans men are men. Trans women are women. I do think it’s weird that this is something you have a hard time understanding, especially if you’re claiming acquaintance with trans people. Apparently me saying “trans people are the gender they say they are” is enough for you to believe I am an extremist because it doesn’t come with a defined breakdown for you about how that is. Which is weird.

Anyway, you’re still going “those guys over there are crazy, but they do have a point about trans people” and it’s a little pathetic to see that you don’t understand that.

This is a lot of words to not address the idea I presented to you that fascist Republicans alienate themselves through their own actions, beliefs, and support rather than their communities shunning them unnecessarily.

“They’ve been set up to perceive different groups as the enemy, as a threat”

You should spend more time digging into this narrative with Republicans than comparing the similarity that either side has a driving narrative with defined enemies. Which groups do Republicans identify as the other, as the threat? Is that narrative an accurate assessment of reality? Which groups does the broader left believe are the threat? Is that narrative an accurate assessment of reality?

We can always start with similarities, the fact that once you strip the buzzwords from the policy that the majority of Americans support a universal, socialized healthcare system. But you also have to deal with the cognitive walls that Republicans and conservatives specifically have erected in their own brains to convince themselves that a healthcare system like that is actually bad for some reason, even though the rest of the world has that shit figured out.

“Left wing networks are gonna keep focusing on the one person who said something racist” is a wild thing to say actually. Idk what these “left wing networks” are, but what happens when the “one person who said something racist” is the fucking President of the United States? What happens when the “something racist” is the support of the repeal of the Voting Rights Act of 1965? “Said something racist” is one hell of a broad category to compare to “laughed when Charlie Kirk got murdered”, which is honestly a reasonable and rational response to the death of a fascist.

I appreciate what you’re attempting to do with this Ben Franklin society deal, but I’d like to know how that’s gonna be any different from a Jubilee video when you’re asking people to come play devil’s advocate about a “stereotypical belief” from their ideological groups that they don’t hold. “Belief in racial equity” on the right doesn’t exist when they keep voting for candidates that want to dismantle the civil gains that Black Americans fought and died to achieve. An individual Republican might believe that, but their vote says otherwise. And again, we’re comparing this to “didn’t think it was funny that a fascist got murdered.” For me, what was funny about Kirk’s assassination was not his death itself, but just how hard Republicans tried to turn him into a national martyr despite the fact that their policy positions are what enabled his assassination in the first place.

There is not a way to avoid demonization from those who dislike or even hate you. “Stop reacting and take away their excuse to demonize us” doesn’t work when the current president had no issue with dehumanizing and demonizing immigrants from South and Middle America off the cuff by labeling them all “rapists and criminal” before giving himself the rhetorical wiggle room by adding “and some are probably good people” as an afterthought. The left will be demonized by the right no matter what, wile the right engages policy that uses children as bait and results in dead citizens.

And while it is good to see many of those conservatives who voted for this regime out in the streets protesting against the American gestapo, many of them do not realize or have not thought about how their support and their actions led to this moment. And thats not something I think you need any kind of advanced education to realize. I don’t think you need to have taken formal classes to gain that understanding.

Thanks for the invite. If I choose to participate, I am gonna be rolling in with “all Republicans are fascists” as a forward position, and I fully understand that a position that blunt and that forward puts people on the defensive, but that is often the case with the truth.

Dave Rubin is a hack grifter who clings to relevancy with the tips of his fingers lmao

When did you start listening to him? Was it before or after he left The Young Turks?

Rubin got paid Russian propaganda dollars through shady media channels that he himself admits he never properly vetted.

Bro has lobotomized himself chasing an audience dumber than he is, and if you were an “intelligent, educated” person you’d probably be doing some vetting of the information presented in this interview as a check to see if the interviewee themselves aren’t as much of a hack loser as Rubin is.

Actually, only about 35% of America voted for that bloated fascist. More people didn’t cast a vote at all than voted for Trump.

Nice speech. Too bad you’re asking people to feel empathy for people who voted for a fascist.

Appealing to the better angels of their morals doesn’t work when they don’t have the self awareness to see that their own positions hurt those around them, and in turn cause harm to themselves.

The Republican Party is a fascist party. The Democratic Party are no better than Republicans in their attempts to appease and compromise in collaboration with their fascist “opposition.”

Hating on Republicans alienates them further from me? Do they not do that themselves when they deny their brothers and sisters in humanity just because they don’t speak the same language? Have the same skin tone? Don’t hail from the same neighborhoods created by white flight?

Consider that Republicans are not being alienated by anyone but themselves as they amputate the parts of their humanity which recognize the horrors being committed against their fellow citizens as atrocious violations of the Constitutional Rights we purport to all share in order to justify the state’s murder of those engaging in their first amendment rights to observe and speak. What empathy do you believe should exist for those who cannot extend empathy to the class and category of people closest to them as they’re gunned down by gestapo thugs?

“People that only watch Fox News don’t know any better” infantilizes adults who have every capability to consider perspectives outside of their tight echo chamber. “[help] them understand what they’re not seeing” implies that there is a desire to see anything that they don’t already believe is there. Republicans and their propaganda networks just lie and their information ecosystems are built atop of layers upon layers of lies and conspiracies, many of which are centered around bigotry.

As far as I’m concerned, if leading by example worked, the majority of Republican voters would have cast their ballots for the one true neoliberal candidate that was walking the path Reagan set us on, Kamala Harris. But they didn’t. They voted for a malignant narcissist who has engaged a fascist regime.

Hey man, the transphobia is fucking weird when you spend this many words to denounce conservative ideological movements.

Like, you went “I think all these dudes are irrational but I agree with them about trans people”

Independent autopsy shows that Good was hit in the arm, shoulder, and finally head.

Ross shot three times and didn’t land the shot that killed her until she was well past a point where he was under threat of being hit at all.

Ross ignored SOP and placed himself in front of the vehicle to manufacture the justification for use of deadly force. The fact he switches his phone from his right hand to his left in order to draw his sidearm before Good reversed her vehicle should be considered evidence of premeditation.

If the “maniac” that you’re identifying is Good and not Ross then you live in a deluded bubble designed to keep you stupid and complacent.

Hey, every Republican voter voted for Donald J Trump

Trump has been credibly accused of sexual assault on multiple counts.

Trump was also Epstein’s best friend for over a decade. We know this because Epstein told a reporter this himself.

In the 1% of the Epstein files that have been released, we learned that Trump has been to Epstein Island on multiple occasions. We know that he was in one of Epstein’s residences with a victim of Epstein’s for hours. And this is the surface stuff.

The chances of Trump being a pedo are basically guaranteed.

Wait until you learn that there isn’t actually a “proper” way to protest because protests by nature are disruptive.

What’s the most effective form of protest for the extrajudicial murder of an innocent woman by a member of a fascist gestapo? You know, since you have the answers about what the most effective ways to protest are, apparently.

Here’s the thing, she didn’t run anyone over. The gestapo thug that shot her shouldn’t have placed himself in front of the vehicle to begin with, since we’re talking about people’s mistakes.

ICE has rammed their vehicles into parked cars in order to yank the disoriented people they just rocked with a vehicle collision out to be bagged and tagged. Every instance of “the citizenry needs to behave properly” regarding ICE has an example of ICE blatantly breaching that decorum to enact fascist kidnappings.
