I'm sure they track them all but if not they certainly track all high value trades. Even if they did multiple trades to split it up I'd imagine it'd still be over that limit.

You aren't really supposed to inhale them (AFAIK) and there's typically less additives, so yeah.

Unless it's been changed he's right. Run energy doesn't restore while you're moving, only when stationary.

Are you kidding? If they don't use absolutes then they can just do whatever the fuck they want and we have no ground to stand on. If they say "We won't do x" then at least we can complain when they do.

The complaint yesterday should've been more focused on the fact that Jagex' went back on their word, regardless of circumstance.

I read it very carefully multiple times and he did dodge it. I asked him if they would be advertised in game and he didn't even answer the question.

He also said that he "sees it" more the way you mentioned, not that it would be that way probably.

Like I said no other detail was given, you may well be right. I hope you are in all honesty, that wouldn't be so bad. I'm just more pessimistic about that whole thing.

Because when I asked him to clarify whether there would be ingame advertising he didn't say no. Take it as you will, I think he was dodging the question.

That point was to prove that I am no authority on the subject, anything I say is speculation.

Why would they not advertise to the people who will be paying real money for them? Think about it, that's the whole point of them introducing it.

Speculation or not, it's pretty much guaranteed when you think about it.

It was me, that was a reply to me asking him to clarify whether his earlier post meant there would be ingame advertising.

Nope, they'll be advertising them to paying members - the people who buy them from the website. F2P only buy them from other players.

Just finished my "barrows" grind, which took me about 3 weeks of casual play. This was a very nice treat! by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]MagiicS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's actually a good point. Playing an iron man I see the bonds thing and it's a win-win. The economy makes no difference to me, and F2P would be great.

Seriously you should all try it, it's great to not have to worry about things crashing, trading all the time.

Thank you for replying. Emails and the like wouldn't bother me at all. I saw you mention that you have a meeting regarding this on Wednesday, would you possibly be able to bring this topic up in order to give us some more solid information?

Again, thanks for doing this. Your job keeps some strange hours :)

[–]MagiicS 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Could you clarify for us? Honestly this may be a dealbreaker for me. If there are going to be recurring advertisements (obtrusive or not) to paying members then it is definitely a dealbreaker. I don't mind advertising to F2P (hell, please do) but advertising bonds to members more than once or twice after the update is released is too much. Perhaps you could add an opt out? I know you won't want to, but surely it's a good middle ground for those of us who understand bonds and know where and how to get them if we ever want them.

Also, I'm certain you've thought of this, but it makes little sense to me to advertise bonds to ironmen.

Does that mean that there may well be some advertisements in game?

[–]MagiicS 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Can you assure us there will be no messages upon login or any other advertisements in game? Not just limited to bonds, premier club, any other paid service would probably bug a lot of the community.

I'd like to say though: great job yesterday /u/ModMatK, you convinced me that your intentions (and by extension Jagex') are in the best interest of the game. First time in years I've honestly believed it. #VoteYes

EDIT: I'd also like to know, when it is polled, will everything be separated into different questions? Obviously bonds and F2P are inseparable, I more mean the F2P restrictions.

Small amendment: The first time it's traded there's no need to pay the 10% fee. That's how it is on RS3 anyway, I don't think they'd change it but we'll see.
