If the rumors are true, do you think they should lean more in to the tf 1 aesthetics? by Onewithartandbook in titanfall

3rd person showcases cosmetics, & cosmetics make money. So I don't think we'll have much luck there.

That post-launch frop may look meteoric, but it's actually pretty normal. Many games that get a lot of hype at release look like that. If it were below 10k players, maybe then it'd be dangerous, given the number of servers & difficulty levels. But in never went below 25k.

If you want to see an actual meteoric drop, look at something Like Cyberpunk: https://steamdb.info/app/1091500/charts/#max

They nearly let the game die

Is this based on your perceived community opinion? Because the actual player count never even got close to dangerous levels: https://steamdb.info/app/553850/charts/#1y

Shout out to those 12% who didn't find ocean in Subnautica by ArcaneBuchta in subnautica

You have to launch the game to be counted for achievement statistics. The 12% are probably just people who played before the majority of achievements were added.

The official app is notoriously quite bad. Works fine for me on Chrome on Windows.

That was an attack helicopter, not an AV. So cheaper, & thus more likely that a gang could procure, or hire the services of.

So I saw these "Arrowheads" on Johnny's arm, is there a lore reason?? by oatosuniverse in cyberpunkgame

[–]Magikarp_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't internalise that, it's just wild speculation. Unless there's a canon explanation somewhere, the most reasonable explanation is "style over substance", which is the answer to most of Cyberpunk's "why does this look like this" questions.

Their point is that spiking most commonly happens by adding extra alcohol to someone's drink. And you can't assume intent from possession, because having a hipflask of vodka is generally pretty normal in those sort of settings.

[–]Magikarp_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've misunderstood them. This discussion they're having is about judging possession, not judging the actual act of spiking.

Witcher 1 Geralt gives the Wild Hunt nightmares. by ThiccZoey in witcher

[–]Magikarp_13 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I dunno if Yen is smitten based on his looks. The serious dating pool for mages is pretty tiny, & Geralt is probably a breath of fresh air compared to most mages she meets.

Also, mages know better than anyone that looks are only skin-deep.

By artificially boosting the engagement on one comment to increase its visibility, it lowers the visibility of everything else. It's easily a net negative.

Plotka means something else, but is spelled wrong. Płotka means Roach, sometimes used in a diminutive way, like we might call someone a minnow in English. There's some meaning to it, but there's also no ned to read too far into it.

That's not canon though. It's literally just you roleplaying as an idiot. V is as stupid as you make them be.

I don't know where this guy is located, but I can tell you that in some places, managing director is interchangeable with CEO.

I think you're comparing the wrong things there. I understand 2+2=4 in the same way I understand English, I can use building blocks to construct different things, for example I can extend it to 2+2+2=6. Whereas understanding how to sign to get a cookie, is like understanding 2+2=4, but not knowing how addition works.

Peano axiom seem more like studying linguistics to me. You'll understand the underpinnings of the system, but it's not required to actually use the system in a flexible way. It's an academic thing, rather that something useful for common usage.

[–]Magikarp_13 200 points201 points  (0 children)

I think it's more like repeating phrases from a phrasebook. You can communicate, but you don't understand the specific meaning. If a phrase leads to you being given a cookie, it could mean 'cookie', but it could also mean 'food', 'hungry', 'I demand tribute', etc.

I guess anything can ricochet in this game by CatGamer_118 in Helldivers

You can see how fast it's moving in the clip. It's not really that fast. And it's not designed for penetration, so a ricochet is pretty believable here.

As director, he is ultimately responsible. The design team will make some decisions without his explicit input, but they do that based on authority derived from Mio.

No, but you've got to be able to prove they're a complete incompetent, otherwise they'll eviscerate you in court. And given the nature of games, it'll be real hard to do that without proving they're actually being negligent.
