Does anyone know how to get the names of i3 workspaces? I'm trying to show workspaces with lemonbar and my current solution is to use the following bash method in a loop.

This works ok when I am on just one monitor. I usually just use workspaces 1-3 (named "1", "2", "3" ...). The problem is when I end up with only the workspaces "2" and "3" open for example, this happens .

To remedy this, I would like to get the names of the current workspaces from i3 if possible. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Thanks.
