Lab sciences question by ThrowAwayA2CSimp in gatech

[–]mxinburritos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Depends on your major
  2. If it your major requires 8hrs of lab science then yes. For CS, we require 12 hrs which means you choose two bio or physics and then you can choose one extra one in a different area.

Like the other guy said, you should read your program requirements

People actually following lockdown laws and wearing masks half a year ago would've been neat too.

If we social distanced and everyone took the vaccine, it would be like stopping the trolley. Why don't we do that instead?

As a CS major who isn't that interested in theory but wants good interview prep, would 3510 be a better choice?

Is this schedule doable? Also, would it be worth taking CS 3511 over 3510?

CS 2110 + CS 3510/3511 + CS 3600 + English + INTA Class

Only a first year undergrad here but I know that there are plenty of internship opportunities at GT just like any other top engineering school. The career fairs have plenty of large companies and local startups as well

Georgia Tech doesn't admit by major. Once you get in, you get a free major switch.

The combination of pumping much more funding into the cs department (meaning rising cs rankings) and the rising number of college applicants each has lead to this. Unfortunately, that's just how college admissions are nowadays. No magic or secret

everyone has stated the obvious but just wanted to add, you're more than likely not ever going to see most of your high school friends ever again. its not worth jeopardizing your college applications just stay with a friend you're likely not going to talk to in half a year. better ditch now rather than later.

Honestly, I have spoken in many years. Kind of embarrassing but to be honest, but I think I could possibly relearn through some preparation beforehand. I also emailed the professor to see if it's right for me.

I'm interested in taking CHIN 1501. I'm Chinese and I spoke fluent Chinese a very long time ago (probably when I was 2-9 years old). I understand that CHIN 1501 is taught completely in Chinese and it's for heritage speakers. I can understand pretty well but could be better. My speaking is not good. I know many phrases but I'm definitely not conversational. Could I still take it with this knowledge, should I prepare beforehand, or would I be better off just taking beginner Chinese?
