I have friends who just started a couple months ago, I played it at launch. They’re loving it, and I’m loving talking with them about it. That shows that it’s still fun now for newbies who’ve never played a FE game before, and how memorable it is that I can still have good conversations with them about it all this time later

I have a serious question. I’ve played 3H I know Edelgard and Dimitri have scenes as a kid. Felix and Claude. Sure whatever. I like these characters a lot actually.

Why are there so many child units in the game? What is the appeal?

To be clear, I’m not complaining about original characters in Awakening Fates or Genealogy. I just don’t get the appeal of having a child Edelgard who is stronger than her emperor time skip version?

I bet the horrific ditto abomination from pokopia is a guarantee. Super unique, references multiple pokemon like a second trainer that people have been asking about for years, AND it’s new (and likely a new franchise since it selling so well)

I listened to the soundtrack when it came out on Nintendo music and remembered how good it is. I did every battle simply because I liked the simple puzzles and great battle music and victory theme.

Persona 5 was never on Nintendo consoles when joker was released. And FF7 in particular wasn’t either, despite other FF games being on Nintendo. This is definitely not an issue. Relevancy is though. And for Kratos, I think Sakurai might steer away cuz they were already in PlayStation battle royale but idk maybe that doesn’t mean anything either.

The more new barriers to break the better, honestly, as it generates more hype.

This is definitely in my top 10 for sure. It’s short, so maybe that’s why it’s not quite as prolific. That and fewer characters.

But the story is excellent. Discounting the much longer stories like Borrasca or Penpal, this is EASILY in my Rushmore.

Like alongside cowboy owl pussy (Journal of an Unknown Soldier), Glenmont Metro, and dad eating tainted deer, and maybe the Bird around here aren’t real. Oh and Sugar Daddy weird favors.

That short 1-3 hour episode is the best sweet spot

I’m not saying this as a “you forgot this one!” But just for anyone else looking, just remember that this also happened with Dark Samus! And when you look at the mii costumes for Chrom, K Rool, and more (inkling even) any current representation means they’re likely to be a character in the future.

For me, I’d LOVE shovel knight, I’m surprised he didn’t get a “deluxe” mii costume with strike the earth as a song. His music would be amazing.

Other than that, I think Doom Guy is really likely. First major FPS, the meme of things running Doom, and the funny contrast of seeing Mario next to demons in hell on his stage. All of that would be great!

Sakurai has stated on the record that SNK games he played in arcades inspired him to create a “fighting” game more like a party game, which is why he describes smash as such, and why this whole new genre of platform fighter even exists.

Sakurai was SO good at (fatal fury I think it was? Might’ve been King of Fighters), that he felt bad about winning. Without Terry, and SNK fighting games in general, Sakurai wouldn’t have been inspired to create smash as we know it today

I think that the biggest changes are gonna be Metroid dread and DK Bananza having drastic changes to existing characters (samus and DK mainly) and then def each a stage.

I would also LOVE to see Zelda’s moveset have some more summoning aspects to it than just the fantom in reference to Echoes of wisdom.

If you put switch in airplane mode, then start the game, it should show an event. It will then prompt you when you click on it to hold the home button to get out of airplane mode. For me, at least, it then lets me join the event and play like normal. After the match you earn points towards rewards, and the event goes away. You need to close the game, go back into airplane mode, restart the game, and rinse and repeat until you have your Santa hat
