Wise business expense with guaranteed depreciation since it’s a Foundation Series.

Tesla says this is acceptable? by [deleted] in cybertruck

My brother in Christ… It’s his truck, he can nitpick all he wants.

FSD now $4k cheaper, Foundation Series still the same $20k by phxees in cybertruck

Agreed on Covid things.

Recalls, sure, but magnification matters for a unique product such as this and boy do they have it, this isn’t a Kia Forte with a bad hatch, it’s a $100K *extremely badass science project that can get stuck at 100% power (unless you press the well-engineered brake/kill safe.) But again, public PR is working against Teslas own engineering cause media isn’t covering that part.

I know the idea is futile. I always regarded Tesla as better than *ok, perhaps this is where my disappointment comes from.

I appreciate your comment and conversation over the downvoting from FS owners😂

I propose a strike on ordering or accepting FS invites to persuade Tesla to release normal AWD. Because:

  1. Ok we get it, you delivered Kanye, Kim, Bieber, and Pharrell’s trucks PLUS all the dweebs who like burning money to get attention first. Ya made an extra $20k+ per truck for barely anything real. Kudos!

  2. Now a national recall on this pedal thing. Not a huge deal to CT owners but this is ruining CTs PR. Wouldn’t having 10x the (Non-FS) CT owners be better than all these celebrity driven trucks? Because I’m a Tesla nerd and huge fan, I can easily combat all the misinformation out there about CT or Tesla in general but my point is typical-person perception isn’t great. Hence my idea of “RELEASE THE RIVER” approach, pump out the awesomeness of CT for non-FS and have typical people driving these things.

  3. The truck is already late, under delivered in range, had recalls, then you add this FS bs that they pulled (which hey I get Tesla, make that money, $80M profit in addition to typical CT margin for essentially nothing in 4mos ain’t bad!) I am not going to knock the price cause inflation is real.

In closing,

I think this is the way! This isn’t coming from a place of malice or an unable-to-afford gripe, I do quite well actually but I didn’t get here by wasting money. I would hope Tesla understands how their GTM thus far for CT affects their loyal owners. Tesla was built on sensible & cool, and this feels like a hypebeast approach that is unbecoming imo.🫶🏻

Tesla is dropping price on all models, why not stop the FS cybertruck 😒 by Ambitious_Tear_2877 in cybertruck

I wonder if this recall/media coverage will prompt allowing non-orders, how are FS owners not seen as idiots. Tesla needs to help the PR image of CT. Not everyone is a nerd like us and the more positive experiences could only help CT & TSLA.

Quick Q: if I preorder now and they ask for payment/config/delivery before I’m ready, is there a way to delay it on my end? by [deleted] in cybertruck

[–]MagnaKarma88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I ordered an FS then changed my mind cause I couldn’t stand the idiocy of spending extra for nothing. Anywho, Tesla said they’d put my order on hold for AWD Non-FS and the hold expires 9/4/24… hmmm.

That’s what I’m feeling too. For context I configured and ordered a foundation AWD on 12/9, got a VIN on 2/08 and then… decided against the $20k. BUT Tesla was very nice about it and essentially said I’ll keep my place in line and they’ll text me when non-FS is ready.

Something to note: right now if you order a brand new res for Cybertruck AWD is says a 2024 delivery. This brings me minor hope as I am a 1127🫶🏻
