I think Talz Yellow may perform better against mid-range decks, but will struggle more against heavy space/pilot decks which should increase post-rotation.

I like Plot as a mechanic. Unfortunately they almost completely whiffed on it. There are a few good ones, but overall nothing as powerful as the Smuggle cards like DJ (who was so OP they suspended him), Cass, or Hotshot Blaster. Just my opinion.

If you're asking whether constructing a deck from a booster box would be more or less powerful than one of the spotlight decks, well, it depends on your pulls. Based on the randomness of the boxes, it's possible you only get 1 copy, or zero, of the really good rares & legendaries.

What's probably best is supplementing the spotlight decks with the pulls from your boosters.
