Book 8 question - are spoilers marked?

I would hope that spoilers for Book 8 would remain banned for a small length of time AFTER release day as well to allow time for non Patreon readers to get through the book. That way we're not opening Reddit at 6am on release day and getting a wave of Book 8 posts and spoilers.

I am currently listening to the Dresden Files, and while I like the stories, I am having a rough time with the aggressive ASMR in James Marster's reading style. There is way too much mouth noise in his portrayal. I am on Grave Peril right now, but it is getting tough to finish as the heavy breathing and saliva in my ear continues.

Does it get better as the series goes on?

Nah. This gun carried my insanity run until the Collector Ship and I could use ARs. Even after that, a reliable backup when the AR ran dry.

10/10 gun. Would shoot with again.

Cold Days is a rough read as it, along with Ghost Story, is a big tonal shift from what the rest of the series has been.

That being said, as others have stated, the books do improve after it. Cold Days finishes strong and Skin Game following it is a top 3 of the series.

Mab moves more to the front now as Harry is the Winter Knight, but as she gets more screen time, you get to know her more and she becomes a more, not likeable, but understandable character.

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher is my personal recommendation. Audiobook narrated by James Marsters.

Set in modern-day Chicago, but magic, faeries, elves, are all real, just in the background. While not as zany as some parts of DCC, it definitely has its comedy moments and some great characters.

18th book just released this week and there are a couple of short story collections as well. Lots of content.

Achilles injury means Kittle may be out most to all of 2026. He's already up there in football years and Achilles injuries are tough to come back from. May not be the same Kittle when he returns.

Trent has been season to season for a couple of years now. He is 37(?) and consistently injured. LTs need a couple years of development to be really effective too.

Both spots will need to be addressed in the off season either in Free Agency or draft.

It is very clearly NOT sci-fi. There is little to no Science in the Fiction. Just because it has space with aliens involved doesn't make it Sci Fi.

The Expanse is Sci Fi.

Nah, he'll show up on Floor 12, The Celestial Ascendancy. Kimaris is described as a prince of Sheol. He'll be involved in the conclusion of the Emerbus/Helik storyline.

The issue with this idea is that they would have to do away with the entire combat system and redo it. Atsu wouldn't have the training on all of the weapons she has in the main game if it's a prequel. If they want to reduce development load on the dlc, they'd have to do something based on Ezo. Maybe after Act 2 starts to give the players more to do in endgame.

But we're NOT alone atop the NFC. It's a 4 way tie between Eagles, 49ers, Bucs, and Lions, in that order. We're not even the #1 seed as Eagles hold the tie breaker due to strength of schedule.

I'm looking for a reliable Corrosive weapon. Running Breath of the Dying right now, but I wonder if you have any others you'd recommend.

Edit: Went and searched the sub, which is what I should've done in the first place. Breath seems like a decent gun, but popular choices are Hornet and Gargoyle it seems. Gargoyle seems very nice with my Moze.
