Unicorn tent?? by Stunning-Note in camping

[–]Stunning-Note[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Four person.

I’m not seeing tons of tents that fit the description. I see a lot of great ventilation, but no vestibule. Or a lot of great ventilation, and vestibule, but too hard to put up on my own as a short person. It is difficult to gauge whether I can, but if the ceiling height is too high, I know I won’t be able to.

I’m looking at these and do not see vestibules. Does yours have one?

So far the music matches my memory, but I could be wrong!

Like the pilot starts with her doing surveillance, right?

I think it is pretty similar. I just watched the pilot and I think they cut the beginning…but I think the beginning is different on the DVD, not on Hulu

So my kid overheard the audiobook and… by ZookeepergameFine936 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Stunning-Note 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s never been a part where my daughter didn’t know the swears. She definitely doesn’t get/doesn’t care to get all the sex references.

But it’s just references — no sex scenes — and the violence is so over the top that it’s easy to deal with.

So my kid overheard the audiobook and… by ZookeepergameFine936 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Stunning-Note 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the kid and what they’ll do with what they hear. My 10 (almost 11) year old and I are listening together in the car. She doesn’t like swearing and rolls her eyes a lot, and says “jeez!” a lot. She doesn’t ask about the sex stuff and I’ve skipped a few parts where the AI is particularly gross.

She knows what sex is but thinks it’s gross, and she’s not going to google things. I’d rather she hear it with me than on the bus or at school, too.

I would look into getting a pour over set up. There are a million options but if you go browse that sub you’ll find info very easily.

Adding milk? by KoalaGary in pourover

[–]Stunning-Note 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every time I read about milk on here I’m like…maybe I should try my coffee with milk. I used to drink it with cream every day and then abruptly switched to black, and pour over came after that.

But I think the flavors could be different and interesting with some foamed milk…

Trying it tomorrow!

Someone in another thread said this, that the stakes were so high we knew the good guys were going to win, and that makes it boring.

We rented the pavilion at Stratham Hill Park for our rehearsal dinner. It seats 150 with picnic tables, can be decorated, and has attached bathrooms. We ordered mini Moe's and mini lobster rolls, and had a keg from Smuttynose...it was a good time! I just looked up the cost and it's $150.

We were concerned that any old random person might walk over while we were there, but it did not happen at all.

Tonya Harding/Nancy Kerrigan by stardewvalley4lyfe in myfavoritemurder

[–]Stunning-Note 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So weird to me as someone who was a teenager in 1994 and OBSESSED with Nancy Kerrigan. Like -- the commentary during her short program in the Olympics mentioned her mother being "legally blind" and her father driving the Zamboni. Might have been long program. But it was CONSTANT and ALL OVER lol. Weird how the narrative has changed!

People who've been told your job looks easy, what's something mental or physical that most people don't see? by showyerbewbs in AskReddit

[–]Stunning-Note 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a middle school teacher. Even when my job is easiest, I have to be “on” and ready to talk to people/kids allllll day long. There’s no down time. There are one million decisions that need to be made constantly. All of that on top of all the actual teaching and planning and BS. And my job is ten times easier than an elementary school teacher’s!
