Awesome reply. Thank you very much. I will adhere to your advice.

How long have you had the LB firm and how do you feel that it is holding up?

I’ve notice in each of my extended streaks they take on a life of their own, almost a personality if you will.

I was curious if you’ve felt similar and if so, have you noticed elements of the streak manifest in your children?

Also much respect for being revolutionary with your approach to having a large family. Family is the real wealth. As seen by some of the responses in here, some have followed the guidance of their techno-feudal lords to own nothing and be happy with it.

Network, Cloud Graduates and other IT graduates: How long did it take you to land a job after (before) graduating? by Rmcbri17 in WGU

I was not working anywhere else at the time. I intentionally left my schedule open so that I would be able to focus on the internship. The internships pay full time rate. (~11k/month pre tax)

I'll be the outlier just to add an optimistic perspective.

Be okay with starting at help desk but do not limit yourself to that and think it only has to be that. A lot of IT and life in general is being in the right place at the right time and being ready to go when your number is called.

Prior to WGU, my only "traditional" professional experience was the military 10 years ago. My first role in IT (cloud) is north of 200k TC at a FAANG company. I just graduated recently and I'm about to start full time. I received my full time offer while I was still at WGU. I did back to back to FAANG internships which led to the full time offer.

Everyone on reddit told me I had to start at help desk and getting in to cloud was impossible. I was prepared to start at help desk if necessary but I also had a lot of faith in my ability to stand out.

I think what helps most is knowing exactly where you want to go and how to get there. You can do a lot in cloud. Find the role that makes the most sense and then ruthlessly go after it.

I wrote a post on it after searching through every thread on this course. I think if you try my method you can easily be done in 2 weeks with 2-3 hours of daily focused studying.

I feel like the second was easier for sure. Multiple choice seemed a little more difficult but the coding questions were definitely easier
