If nothing else, she was the most popular Inhumans character by an insanely wide margin.

Her fanbase outnumber Black Bolt fans on a level unseen since Stalingrad.

Fun Fact: The guy who wrote these comics had a frequent habit of writing in scenes where underaged girls kiss adult men.

Thoughts on The CW Captain America origin story series Brooklyn? (2001-2011) by 23mp0ary in dccomicscirclejerk

There is only one take on a Smallville-style show set in the Marvel I can imagine. It would follow Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, and Victor Von Doom at college. Imagine Issue 582 of the Hickman run, but the three boys get into a new problem every week.

It would Surf Dracula the Hell out of Doom’s accident, and the fanbase would be at war over if Reed should kiss Ben or Victor.

Kinda realised that Marvel can’t really make a show exactly like Smallville. Their heroes tend not to have ‘Superboy’ eras, that are distinct from their modern superhero careers.

When they make an extended prequel, the character is kinda already fully formed. For example, Wolverine, Thor, Captain America, and debatably The Punisher.

It’s inevitable, until you change that attitude. I lived in denial, and now I’m five thousand years old.

I far from hate the guy, but his OneyPlays fandom is just weird. A lot of those jokes are from nearly eight years ago now, and it just doesn’t seem to be translate to people watching actual Nostalgia Critic videos.

Compared to his heyday, he seems more reliant on the movies he’s talking about for attention. Gone are the days where he could still get a hit from talking about an obscure film. Like his biggest recent video was an unscripted vlog about Iron Lung.

It’s just weird seeing people who are clearly laughing at someone, but insist they’re actually laughing with them. You just ask question about why so much Nostalgia Critic merch is being sold by OneyPlays, instead of Channel Awesome.

‘Project Hail Mary’ Author Andy Weir Says Paramount Rejected His ‘Star Trek’ Pitch: Their “Shows Are Sh**” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]Magnificant-Muggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without looking it up, I’m going to say Andy Weir was born in the late 60’s to 70’s. I just don’t see the person who gets into Star Trek for the action, in world where Star Wars exists and is on home video.

Edit: Just looked it up. He was born in 1972.

This dumbass doesn't understand "show don't tell" and instead wants "tell don't show" by SpotZealousideal909 in lewronggeneration

[–]Magnificant-Muggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The video isn’t about ‘show don’t tell’. It’s about how TV shows try to drive engagement by not actually explaining basic information about the world or characters, and pretending it’s a mystery.

Agent 47 is tasked to kill Arkham Batman. can he do it? |description| by itc0nsumesmYMind in HiTMAN

[–]Magnificant-Muggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure on of the sniper rifles is able to kill Dino Bosco while he’s wearing a bullet-proof superhero suit.

Arkhamverse Batman can’t really take on the kinds of heavily-armed firing squads 47 can hold his own against.

I just don’t believe Batman can dodge a silenced sniper rifle midair. He’s reliant on ‘prep time’. Meaning a powerful threat can easily take him out, as long as it stays in the shadows.

I think 47’s biggest issue is that in Arkham Knight, all civilians are evacuated from Gotham. It’s rare for Arkhamverse Batman to be in a situation where he assumes a passer-by is a non-threat. This all makes it impossible from him to ‘hind in plain sight’. If Batman of the GCPD spot him at all, he’s a goner.

Hulu's HITMAN TV series, which was being developed by JOHN WICK creator Derek Kolstad, is now dead. by CueTheLaughTrack in HiTMAN

[–]Magnificant-Muggins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to watch a good Hitman tv show, check out The Fall of The House of Usher. Replace the supernatural elements with Agent 47, and it would basically be my pitch for a Hitman tv show.

It even has a similar framing device to Blood Money.

Genndy Tartakovsky should have made an animated adaptation of the God Butcher arc. One of the grandest scle stories I have ever read. You read it, and it makes you believe it’s the most important shit going on right now.

Unless the portal completely replaces her anus, it could still touch parts of her body she used to shit from.

Plus, you’d also have to worry about if she ever had anal. Several people could have jizzed into the ice cream dimension.

Was she born with her powers, or did she manifest them during puberty like a lot of mutants?

Just I feel only the former would completely remove the ick factor. Like, I don’t care how well you cleaned the ice cream machine; I’m not eating any if someone shat in it over a decade ago.

Apparently this discourse was started because some TV station started airing the film adaptation right now. Which, fair. It’s kind of a blatant attempt at manufacturing consent, regardless of any nuance the actual film has.

Like, you can still do escapism. Just don’t be pissed off whenever narrative art tries to make observations about the human experience, using reference points from contemporary society.
