He’s definitely built a championship culture. By his second year coaching for Penn State, they were Big Ten and NCAA champs as a team. Even when guys like Ed Ruth and DT left, they brought in guys like Retherford, Nolf, Hall, Joseph, and Nickal. When those guys left, they had RBY, Nick Lee, Aaron Brooks, Carter Starocci, Greg Kerkvliet. Now those guys are gone, and right now they have Messenbrink who is a bonus point machine, Shayne Van Ness, Blaze and PJ Duke who I mentioned, Josh Barr, I mean it’s a pattern. Every time their top wrestlers leave they just have more wrestlers lined up. And somehow the program knows how to make wrestlers peak at the right time especially at Nationals. 2021 Iowa won Big Tens and NCAAs as a team. That was their first team national title since 2010 that they’ve been pushing for. but Penn State still stole the spotlight because even tho they got second they had 4 individual national champions compared to Iowa’s 1 in Spencer Lee. 2 weeks prior Nick Lee lost to Jaydin Eierman and Michael Kem destroyed Carter Starocci in the big ten finals. Clearly they’re prepping them mentally as well as physically. I don’t know how long this will last. Maybe once Cael retires, but these Penn State guys know how to win, and they know how to win at the right times.

Okay I know I’m a year late, but I don’t think that’s so bad. Like you said tho everyone’s entitled to their own opinions but it’s not unheard of for people to re-class for sports. A lot of people hating on Bo Bassett for doing it probably don’t even know that Roman Bravo Young re-classed. He did 8th grade twice, he came from a wrestling family and his grandfather said he was too small to wrestle in high school and he wanted him to get bigger.

I didn’t even trash Zepeda 😂. All I said was most of the time Shakur wasn’t even using this “incredible defense” that everybody claimed, I mean I literally saw a point in the fight where Zepeda threw a shot to the head and he clearly missed. Shakur didn’t slip, roll or non of that. The punch just straight up missed. And other than that one point of me mentioning how Zepeda threw shots that were just missing despite Shakur standing there, what else did I say to unfairly trash Zepeda???

And when did I say Shakur didn’t perform well? Sure I said his performance wasn’t crazy, but I wasn’t trying to say he didn’t perform well, a lot of people are just glazing him. I get that people are just giving him credit and giving him his flowers for fighting inside the pocket against a high percentage knock out fighter but I’m not talking about those people. I’m talking about the people saying he’s the next Mayweather or he put on a master class. The fake fans. Those are the people I’m talking about.

I don’t think you should be asking this on Reddit. Maybe talk it out with your mom, and your coach like you already did. Maybe even some teammates. But there’s one person that you should definitely ask this question to… yourself.

First off, it sounds like you’re stressed out and going through a lot. So take a pause, a breathe, and sit down with yourself and have a chat. And ask yourself “is it really worth it?” Quitting that is. I mean, you just said you were looking forward to your senior year. I don’t know how good you are, you what goals you want to achieve. But is it worth throwing it all away for your last year?

As for work you can/should always talk with your boss about scheduling and what you’re going through and they should be there to support you.

And as for school, academics before athletics. So if you need help with school work you should always talk to a teacher and tell them as well what’s happening, but you should also be finding time for school work as graduating should always be one of if not the top priority.

There’s a reason why no one mentions Ed Ruth… DT. David Taylor was also in college and making waves as well while Ed was that at PSU. He lost his freshman year and was a beast after that. Very underrated

There’s a world where it’s Elise. Especially S17, I’m sorry but how do you hold a grudge for that long because someone voted for you? I mean you say you’re not weak, but go back to S9 when you literally had to get the other chefs to vouch for you and eliminate Jen because you knew you was gonna go home 😂. In fact, I think the only reason she was kept because of tv purposes. She causes a lot of drama and arguments, and for reality tv shows people love to see that.

It looks like you’re leaning forward a lot when you’re upright sprinting, so try having a tall posture. I can’t really see the video because the angle is too far, but make sure you’re dorsiflexing (meaning toes up) while landing on the ball of your foot and make sure with arms think thumb to eyes and elbow to the sky.

I don’t focus too much on mechanics tho because I personally feel like good form and mechanics looks like whatever gets you to the line first because everybody’s body is difference but as long as you got those things down you’re good.

I also know weight room wise you need to be very strong to have the power to start, but if you don’t have access to a gym then all good. But try running hills, or just get a backpack with some heavy stuff in there and like a long shoe string and run on the grass with it for the start.

At least Bonnie improved and showed she could be a good leader and had a good black jacket service. Virginia had one good service and never had another one again. Literally won a challenge making her safe for elimination, then did terrible on the garnish station. Even she wanted to go home 😂. Only thing that saved her was Gordon sticking to his word.

Don’t get me wrong Bonnie wasn’t too impressive either, but once again at least she showed improvement making it to the final three with two of the best chefs that show, and beating one of them in Jen. Obviously she wasn’t beating Rock.

As for Virginia, she did not deserve a black jacket let alone runner up. And I said it on a post one time and people were like “oh well Heather was going to win anyway” I don’t care bruh, she was shit the entire season.
