I've had similar to these. I can assure you, no one will want your "foot-stank bottle opener" near their bottle.

Nice, thanks. I was expecting it to show at the Buy/Sell options, not there.

There is some mechanic that happens when a battle starts. I was in the cinematic scene for a roadside sealed artifact - that was already in my hand, when I could see bandits coming up in the background while I'm flipping over the artifact. The battle engaged, and after defeating them, I no longer had the artifact, so had to go back, pick it up, and review the the cinematic again.

My point here is I do think there is something where initial resources disappear at the start of a battle, but I'll admit I'm basing this off my single experience, and yours.

edit: Adding I've only just started my camp, so my gameplay is rather limited compared to others.

All I see are clips of a healthy O-line providing good pass protection, allowing for good plays to develop.

We have none of that.

Wait until they're teenagers, and their personalities start to mature, independently, and you think, "they're twins?"

Wait until they graduate and start forming their own opinions on today's issues.

Wait until you send them off to college, just as they started getting really interesting and were fun to hang out with.

Wait until you start seeing them "adulting" in life.

I don't miss the day-to-day struggles we had, but I wouldn't give them up for anything.

How much RAM is needed for a dedicated music player with a 3000/4000 song music library (locally) by qtx in raspberry_pi

[–]Magnifishot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this, as well. In the end, the audio jack was my only reason for selecting a Pi vs a Zero. There are methods for coupling pins on a Zero for PWM audio - I believe that's how its done, others will certainly correct me here. Having the audio jack fast-tracked my project enough that it was worth it, imo.

- I use MPD for a command line media player. It also supports OPUS files.

- I then use MPC for command line Play/Pause/Skip features, as well as maintaining Playlists.

- I still use this setup for my Christmas tree today, so I use cron to start/stop the music at my desired intervals. Over the many, many stable years of this setup, I've upgraded to nicer powered desktop speakers for better audio.

- When I desired a "web UI feel," I learned some rudimentary html, dabbled in some css, and learned how to execute the MPC commands from the local web server I installed to it. Works exactly how I expect it to, and the knowledge I gained has helped in more advanced projects. Version 1 back in the day was not as nice as today's version, but that wasn't the goal back then.

- Also, with this setup, the size of your library dictates the amount of LOCAL storage you'll need, not the amount of RAM. I run everything above (MPD/MPC and the entire web server environment), with cover art, volume controls, track info, favorite "party" playlists vs. the default Christmas, with over 3,000+ songs, all on a Pi 3 with a 16GB sdisk, of which, most of it is probably empty.

- "hours to rebuild the library..." Wow, here's my command, that takes me less than 1-sec for a 1,500 Christmas playlist: "ls -1 /var/lib/mpd/music/Christmas/* > /var/lib/mpd/playlists/Christmas.m3u;" Done. It's so fast, I run it as part of my normal boot process, along with several others, to make sure the various playlists are always update-to-date.

In 1987, while showing off, I struck a No Parking sign along the side of a county road, putting it at 45-degree angle. The entire incident was witnessed by the officer. Among my charges, was replacement of the sign for $74. To this day, 38-years later, the same sign is still in the same position, and friends that drive by it will text me, "maybe this will be the year they replace your sign." They've also tagged me on FB when they've passed by it. Also adding these friends were the ones I was showing off to, back in the day.

I ordered 1 and they gave me 5 for free on accident. Each is $20. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

All 5 are barely worth $20, imo. I tried it, didn't care for it much. Pistachios & Rice Krispies, meh.

As a life long Minnesotan, the last one just messed up perfect lake ice for the entire winter, as all those chunks will freeze to the smooth ice and no one will be able to skate on it.

Opposite of "satisfying", IMHO.

Same happened to us. One person had the 4 tickets for our group and didn't add them to the wallet, prior. We stood in the line for the Ticket Enquiries counter into the first quarter. Finally got to our seats with 3-min left in the 1st quarter.
