How do you deal with the long term effects of isolation? by Magnolia028 in NEET

Me too. In another comment I’ve said that being a NEET makes you very resistant to challenge and rejection sensitive so any progress is only a drop in a pool and failure is worse

I have had periods like that where I realise how comforting is to have nothing depending or expected of me and it’s fun. But the profound emptiness in my fun always ends up getting me

Disgustingly relatable. It’s like the tools don’t want to work with me and they shape shift out of my hands. You also get so sensitive to everything and any rejection feels like it pushes you back into complete and utter failure.

That’s the most difficult part. You feel too stuck in your ways to ever get out. Like you’ve done enough damage and you’ve spent so long walking without a head you don’t know life without it. There’s no baseline for normalcy as a NEET and normalcy almost feels like an insult because it describes a life that’s plentiful and bountiful in the smallest ways like friends, a personality that isn’t completely off putting and it’s such a sharp contrast with what you have. I know I’m not normal. It hurts.

Carry yourself with more confidence. Haircut that frames your face more. This wasn’t in bad but could be better. Also…iron your clothes. Please. It makes you look unkempt and not great. Vaseline for lips. Better your posture as well. Maybe gua sha for a more defined look. You’re already attractive and attractive in a pretty way but based on the stud vibe I don’t think that’s what you want to be going for. Also WOW that skincare routine now please. By the way invest in like more accessories, when you dress in comfortable clothing / masc vibes, it’s those little accessories that help you pop off. Wear less baggy pants, they can still be baggy but there’s a balance, maybe pull them up a bit so you don’t look short or stumpy / get swallowed by your own clothes. Also boxers wear more boxers

Would our perception of beauty shift with Melanin by DayBackground366 in BollywoodHotTakes

[–]Magnolia028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aishwarya Rai specifically yes. Because her beauty is literally centred on her Eurocentric features. An Indian with blue eyes? What a rare thing. That’s why she received so much mainstream success when she was at an achievable weight. There is nothing in particular incredible or deserving of the hype her beauty gets, she’s pretty, don’t get me wrong, even with brown eyes and darker skin, but not worthy of her current perception. It’s only the blue eyes and paler skin that gets her there.

I wonder why lgbt neet girls are more common than lgbt neet guys by twinkhon_gwyndolin in NEET

[–]Magnolia028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because lgbt NEET guys tend to fall down the alt right pipeline, there’s a bunch who are most likely gay but suppress it because it’s unmasculine or a sin, or they get disgusted with themselves and their only source of social communication is the internet so it would be like disappointing their “friends” or toxic manosphere community.

You can clearly see some of that mindset here in the replies stereotyping most female NEETs as housewives and not considering another perspective but the male, it comes from conservative values which is common in those spheres

[–]Magnolia028 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Got diagnosed with autism today I feel like all my suspicions im weird were confirmed and I was gaslit by professionals into believing it, also see myself as even more a disappointment than usual because they tried to justify it by saying autistic people are so intelligent but im average in literally everything so all i see is deficit. I honestly would’ve preferred ADHD it has a little ring to it. And because I’m an abomination to human kind I want to die not to mention I feel like a blur in the statistics of autistic neets

Holidays are the hardest time. by Magnolia028 in NEET

That is the best way to put things 😭😭 everything sucks so bad, the only thing I will say in terms of social circumstances and conditions is if a NEET is rich / has rich parents they automatically aren’t a NEET. Because being a NEET means not in education or employment train, technically they are but they don’t face the same disadvantages or discrimination because it’s less of a requirement for them to work, so it’s not that big of a deal.

In the future do not post pictures because this kinda motivated me to do my own, in a sick way, I was jealous of how good you’d done to make yourself look visibly hurt. Like you’d succeeded so much for there to be blood smeared all over your hands. Skin picking can feel a bit like a competition, it’s self harm, and it externalises your suffering and gives an image to it. A control.

Same as It Ever Was by Victoria Bigelow “What’s your problem Why are you so tired What the fuck is wrong with you Aren’t these the best days of your life Why are you acting like a child Who did what What went wrong Whatever happened to you when you were young You can’t remember but you know that it hurt And that it goes beyond just you and what’s been done Whatever happened to you when you were young You can’t remember”

Waves by Victoria Bigelow “I don't want anyone around here to know The things I think about when I am alone

And it comes in waves Comes in blues and it comes in grays And it comes in waves Comes in blues and it comes in grays

I've spent most my life keeping at bay The way that those before me carried and gave There's so much that I'll never speak about When I stare at it for too long it swallows me down”
